Where's Fredo when you need him?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
              Mine angry and defrauded young?

I wanted him to stay, especially after the way he played last week, but last night he was ****e and sadly he plays like that more often than not. And it REALLY ****s me off the way he gets caught in possession outside our area, doing his arctic truck impression.

I'd sell him for anything over £14m, great player on his day but he only has 'a day' about once every 6 games, which just isn't good enough.

Good news. My only concern is that when the pairing of Mascherano and Alonso are together both of them are too defensive. If Xabi is sitting deep then Mascher needs to get forward more and vice versa

Both quality players, but they can improve as a partnership

TBH Xabi hasn't hit the heights this year (or last) and I can see Lucas giving him a real good run for his money next year. I sure hope so because Xabi plays in a key role and has been a passenger a lot of the time.

I don't know if we'll see the real Xabi in a liverpool shirt again, and I have given him a fair bit of stick, but if the choice is Xabi or Barry, it's Xabi every time.

I too also hope Alonso stays.

He's been quality ever since he signed for us, and has been troubled with injuries this season which has obviously affected his form.

I hope he's still with us next season as a good pre-season behind him, and an injury-free campaign, will no doubt see him returning to the form he's showed previously.

Best news I've had all season. Can you really think of anyone better with his passing ability when on top form. Nope....neither can I.
If I had two lives...I'd give them both to you.
