He did not say. Someone said it's a joke that Riise cant say goodbye properly and that Voronin will probably get the chance.
He then said Voronin was in the squad.

Is it only the matchday squad that gets to do the lap after the game?

Funny I thought Rafa had a few digs at Riise in his interviews since we went out of the CL on Wednesday. Mentioned a couple times about the challenge of going through after conceding the og at anfield. Something like you can't concede an og like that without it having an effect on the result of the tie... he doesn't seem to say things like that without a reason.

I'd like to see a couple of the youngsters Plessis and Insua get a game with the rest of the squad being first team, also maybe stick a couple more on the bench Nemeth possibly

As for the players who might be leaving I'd be tempted to stick them on the bench and bring them on for last 15mins or something

Voronin gets to do a lap of honour and Riise and Crouch don't? If that's the case then that's a ****ing joke

Riise and Finnan should defo get a round at anfield an time to say a prober goodbye if they leave this summer... Just seen Arsenal putting on Lehmann for the last 20 against neverton, and that is a prober goodbye for a player that has served a club well!

Anywho, hope to see a few youngsters like insua and plessis start the game and perhaps nemeth to get a bit of first team action. We have nothing more to play for, so give 'em a go...

Emiliano Insua makes his first start of the season as the Reds look mark the final home match of the season with a win against Manchester City.
Steve Finnan comes in for Alvaro Arbeloa at right-back while Fernando Torres has been passed fit to lead the line on an afternoon that will see the Reds play in their brand new kit for the first time.

The Liverpool team in full: Reina, Finnan, Insua, Carragher, Hyypia, Lucas, Mascherano, Babel, Kuyt, Gerrard, Torres. Subs: Itandje, Voronin, Benayoun, Alonso, Skrtel.

He is not in the squad today, wont be in it next week and has been told to find a new club. I think its harsh, he has been here for 7 years and Rafa wont even let him do a lap of honour today, poor that in my opinion.

                            Won't be missed.

Rafa is not a man for sentiment is he, the guy is ruthless, every player knows where they stand, i think his problem with Crouch has been the constant speculation & Crouchie saying i'll see what happens, instead of saying i only want to play for liverpool whatever.

Think Rafa feels it is he who signed him & made him into an England regular, he expects total loyalty & has no time for anything less, not that i would call Crouch disloyal exactly, but i think Rafa expects him to say i'm happy to be in the squad at a club as big as LFC & not.... i'm off if i dont play, or words to that effect. Just an opinion like.
