Yet again Carra proves why he is my favourite player

Tom Hicks couldn't get rid of Parry and he can't get rid of Carra. Simple as.
The fans revolt would be frightining to comprehend should he make moves to get Carra out. Would blow he PR campaign out of the water in no time at all.
As for fellow supporters still happy for Hicks to take 100% ownership, maybe this should be a wake up call for you.
Whilst Carra was once a blue, there is no doubt that he is now 100% LFC red. This man is obsessed with football and knows the ins and outs of the club. Whilst he may lack the diplomacy of Gerrard, he is all heart and proves that in his displays for the team, whether that be at CB, LB or RB. I have never heard the lad complain once, when I believe he has earnt the right to ask the boss why. He is also one of the lads, as the LFC website and LFCtv like to brag about - No doubt all will have heard about the time Carra went on a happy als bus up to watch the team play 'boro when he was out with the broken leg.
The man is a complete legend. And if he says we need to get rid of the Yanks, then you better take notice. He wouldn't want to rock the boat for no reason.
YANKS OUTForwards.......

Spot on. I'd even back him ahead of Rafa to be honest

I'd have to hear why each were at each others throats before deciding, but I see your point!Originally posted by Sarb24 View PostSpot on. I'd even back him ahead of Rafa to be honest
I love both. With any luck both will take us to the title next year. With the Yanks no longert at the helm.Forwards.......

You're missing the point that a/ GG DOES want to sell and b/ Hicks couldn't even get rid of Parry let alone Carra as GG won't side with himOriginally posted by Keep_it_real_LFC View Postwhere is a captain? Yanks don't have sell... and they can get rid of anyone they please...

In what way?Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostSaw a mate today who went to this last night. Said it was kicking off all over the shop late on.
The dangerous position they're in now is that they've probably only got a membership of 1000 or 2000, and that is a tiny fraction of the support the club has of course. They are having secret meetings with DIC and then coming up with all this positive spin for DIC as a result. If they did that with Hicks or Gillett you know what the uproar would be like. Have they even tried approaching Hicks or Gillett for talks with them?
Hicks might still get into office and they would have no line of contact with him.
I checked on their website and you still can't join unless you live in the UK and you have a cheque book. I know they'll have a reason for it but it's got to be time they got that sorted out. Paypal and a way for people who aren't based in Liverpool to be involved.
At the moment it sounds like a powerful clique telling the rest of us what we must do. I don't think they've even had a vote in months.
I don't like to criticise them but they need to get all this sorted out before we find we all got what we didn't want because of a few people getting obsessed with the wrong things.

That's ok then, I thought they were all arguing about what they should do with regards the union. Chances are someone trod on someone's new trainers and off it went.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostHe said there a few different incidents - mainly young, skinhead scally types. They are the only ones who got of their backside and did anything so I don't see how anyone can complain. I'm sure there are loads of people who think the same as you, and many more who post such lines as: "They don't represent me" and "Who do they think they are". Yet I'm sure they're the same as me, in that they have done sod all in an attempt to assist in getting the club out of this mess.Originally posted by spy View PostIn what way?

I'm sure there is a reason that peope have done nothing, I don't have the time or live close enough to contribute. Nor do I have any great ideas to help out. There could be a million different reasons. But if you do have any time, contact them with some ideas, I'm sure they'd be more than willing to listen.
Of course if you're not happy, you could start your own website and fan group and contact DIC or Hicks yourself. And let's not forget, they don't claim to speak for every LFC fan.Forwards.......

The problem for Hicks is players are also assets to the clubOriginally posted by bobbyfallon View Post
i think we can all agree that tom hicks is a cunt
Say he sacks Carra for this, he virtually flushes millions down the bog (in sale value but also replacement value)
Not only that but what does he do if the sacking of Carra caused uproar and criticism from other players is he gonna sack them toLast edited by Lecter; 05-05-08, 11:59 PM.Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I think others got off their backsides too to be fair, but took a back seat to allow this one to be in effect one voice.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostThey are the only ones who got of their backside and did anything so I don't see how anyone can complain. But how do you contact them? There's no option on their website. And the postal application form isn't even working on there now.
It needs to be made a priority that they allow others to join, otherwise perhaps it would be better if, as you suggest, another fans group was set up. But why? All it needs is for them to find a way to allow others to join, and a way of allowing others to vote. If they can't do that, then that's no problem, but they then need to describe themselves for what they are.
If they can't take money, they need to open membership up as something that is free of charge for an interim period. How many people on here have actually joined?
At the moment, do they have a majority of members who are season ticket holders? Are there any overseas fans? Are there any overseas fans who get to occasional games but haven't been able to join? What about supporters who don't use forums? How many people on here wanted to join but couldn't?
What can I do to make them aware of any concerns? Their website has no facility.
Who do they represent? When was the last time they actually checked? When was the last time they allowed someone to speak out in a slightly different way?
It sounds like I don't like them and that's not the case. But my worry at the start would be they could turn into something akin to Arthur Scargill against Margaret Thatcher, SOS against Hicks, and they have. If Hicks takes over they've no way of getting anything out of him with their current attitude. When he was busy with his Sky offensive they should have been arranging a meeting with him, on the same terms as they've had with DIC.
And now they're all cosy with DIC, getting all kinds of secret little sweeteners to keep them on side. And I don't mean personal sweeteners I mean promises about what DIC will do if they win.
The promises DIC are making to them don't need to be kept. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but DIC would under current circumstances be able to discredit SOS when they got in and instead help another version, a more inclusive but less militant version, get into power in their place. One that allows anyone to join, doesn't favour only locals, doesn't allow the feelings of a few to be automatically considered the feelings of all.
They need to start going back to their thoughts from back at the start, otherwise they'll be another RTK and that would be a disaster, because I can't see a union that does represent us all getting a chance to take off so easily.
I can't think of an excuse now as to why they've not opened their membership up to all fans.
