So we have no prospects amongst our "kids"? Bearing in mind the best ones have been fast tracked into the reserves, and have thus won the league, I'd say we certainly do have some young prospects.
No offence, but I find it pretty hard to believe that the coach of our youth setup would tell a complete stranger that he didn't think any of the kids under is command would ever make it.

As for rafa being more likely to bring in a cheap foreign option, quite a few of the players out there are players already brought in from other clubs - Pepper, Astit, Pourie, Kalinicec, Amoo, Bouzanis and that's just the ones of the top of my head.

As for DIC getting Mourinho? What a ****ing joke that is. They'd be more ****ed than the Yanks if they did that after there comments in the press.

Maybe he was on a wind up with me but he didnt give that impression and we chatted for a good few minutes about America and being over here before I even moved it to some of the specifics above.

What id add is that id be curious as to why someone would spend 10 minutes of their time chatting to fans and dishing out tripe for the sake of doing so. That makes no sense to me but maybe that was his agenda and if so then hes definitely a little odd to put it mildly.

That's why i edited my initial post, thought it may be a bit harsh.

I don't believe the stuff said/posted to be true though. It's impossible to tell if someone will make it from such an early age, there are a lot of pitfalls around the corner, be it injury, lazyniss or an addiction of some sort. For that reason alone I would say a gambling man would put his money on none of the players making the grade at LFC. But I wouldn't say that a coach would say that just to make conversation. He must have some strange motive.

Carragher payed a visit to see the kids a few weeks ago and told him that given the current setup he didnt think hed ever have gotten through given the lack of attention on the youth team I think our youth team is getting far more attention than it has for over a decade. I doubt Carra said this.


That being said he did think that the current money focus means its a different ball game than it was years ago and that the chance of another Gerrard coming through anytime soon was one in a million That bit sounds reasonable
