Personally Crouch is playing the role he should be at liverpool second fiddle.

He is not in the calibre of Torres, he is a footballers who will never improve our thinking towards football, he is allways that easy option to just lump upfield to this shouldnt be the case with liverpool and unfortunatly when we play with crouch it happens far to often.

Rafa has given every player a chance to shine and allow that player to bring all his qualities out. Rafa gave Crouch these heady heights and if he has grown to big for his boots and feels like he can demand anything well then he can go.

That sorted of attitude is so typical of a footballer and should not be at this club, Rafa is doing whats best for this club in terms of creating and winning team and better football.

There is a bit of hypocrisy from Rafa as his actions indicate he doesn't want to keep Crouch , but his words say he does.

Granted he can get more money for Crouch than Voronin (we'd probably have to give someone £2m to buy Voronin off us) and that's Rafa's choice. But don't openly contradict yourself, which is what he is doing
You mean say he wants him to stay and then play him in a CL quarter final? Aye what a hypocrite

Some people will find anything to beat Rafa with - and it's usually your or rage.

Give it a rest Reece. Why do you get so defensive over Rafa for. Should we all go kissing his arse like you do? It's a forum where people have different opinions, live with it or put me on ignore

He wants him to stay and doesn't even make the bench in a meaningless game at the end of the season!!! Go figure that one out

I'll give it a rest when you stop turning every thread into an excuse to have a dig at Rafa. And I'm not going to put you on ignore - it's a bloody internet forum. I don't dislike you or anything, I just strongly disagree with your feelings towards our manager.

Stevie said it in his book mate.

Rafa just see's players as cogs in his machine no room for sentiment, sentiment doesn't win you football matches.

I would much rather have someone like Rafa in charge who doesn't care who you are if you don't cut the mustard or you don't fit in to his system you're binned than someone who picks you on past performances and reputation.

I am a massive Rafa fan though and a bit biased

I don't turn every thread into a Rafa bashing. I've questioned a few potential transfer targets as have many on the site (not just me and Rage), but I've not said I want him sacked. I do actually remember saying that he should get one more season at the Premier League

At the end of the day Crouch is an option. Nowhere near being a regular starter but still can do things when called upon and change games. There is enough bull****ting going on at the club with the two Yanks, without the manager doing it as well.

I think it's clear to everyone that he wants Crouch out so why come out and say 'no I want him to stay'. And I think most find it totally bizarre why Voronin gets in ahead of him. Crouch may lack pace, may not be the toughest, but he's a damn sight better than Voronin. And when Rafa makes decisions like that, then he will be open to questioning I'm afraid

Terrible and defnitley NOT the Liverpool way.
Not having a go at you, but how do you know what goes on behind the scenes? Apparently Riise, Crouch and Pennant didn't even turn up to Anfield on Sunday - or I think they pissed off after realising they weren't in the team and left Anfield. That is a disgrace in my opinion. And why do people and Riise himself belives because he has been at Liverpool for 7 years automatically, think he should be granted an extension? The fact he oenined his gob about a contract extension and a direct jibe at the club straight after the defeat last week contributed to him not being picked on Sunday.

im a newbie but this place strikes me as similar to rawk

you say anything against rafa and ****ers are in your face

lets face it we will never win the league under rafa and he is a bit fortunate that there is no one about or available to replace him

4th is 4th and no good enough

Houllier and Evans were what you call sentimental managers who looked after players off the pitch and talked to them like a fatherly figure. Both you could say, were successful in their own right but don't look like a force that like what Benitez is building. Benitez wants a workman like attitude where everyone works hard and plays hard. We have seen (well, maybe I have seen on the pitch after games) Rafa does have a general chat to the players besides tactics and has a good laugh with them. Remember Morientes on the podium after Istanbul?

i think he is entitled to be told to his face if rafa wants him to go

Footballers and managers are paid on results, as is the rest of the world who earn a higher degree of money than the norm

If they was a stockbroker or lawyer and they didn’t come up to scratch would they be given one last account to deal with once it was decided they were leaving or would you give it to the up and coming people in the organization to cut there teeth and gain experience for the good of the company?

By doing this as well rafa has sent a message to the players he wants gone that for the good of their career they should go...... meaning we get a fee that is greatly needed by the club at the moment....... or would people rather the club puts up prices to supporters instead so players who have experienced what would be a absolute dream to me every week (playing for Liverpool) a sentimental waste of time.

We do not live in a fairytale...... this is the real world and business is business
