Rafa's alleged contract offer to Crouch....

I couldn't agree with the use of "disgraceful", I don't know what's that disgraceful about it to be honest. Rafa isn't leaving Crouch unused because he has something against him, he just feels that he has better options available to him (this is a matter of footballing acumen and is a completely different conversation).Originally posted by Sarb24 View Post...according to Crouch it was "an informal five minute chat". Apparently he's only started 9 out of 38 league games too.
I was a big critic when we signed Crouch and I'll eat my own words and say he's been worth the £7m we spent on him. He gives us an option that when used properly is a real asset.
Someone made this comment on another site...I think the way Crouch and Riise have been treated is quite disgraceful. Granted Riise messed up but he's been here for 7 years. Crouch has been a good servant too.
Personally I'd love him to stay and get a few more games too.
Just don't like the things going on at the club at the moment
And Riise has, to my mind, been treated pretty well. He has even started more games than his form would suggest over the course of the season.
Whilst I feel Crouch should get another contract, I don't think his treatment has been "disgraceful" and, as has already been said, that is Rafa's management style. The same management that signed Crouch when he was one of the biggest figures of ridicule in the whole of English football and turned him into a respected international striker. Crouch owes more to Rafa than the other way round.

Great argument. You are making my point for me, he only bought JP because he couldn't afford Alves. He's had to buy second best.Originally posted by elvoz View Postnot laying all the blame at him pal just saying he is entitled to be criticized he bought JP after allThe Crushing Machine MKII

seems the rafa can do no wrong boys are still alive and well

The only question that I've asked on many different forums, is who would you replace him with?
Of course Rafa isn't bullet proof, but who's out there with a better track record than him?
Rafa's in the middle of moulding a team into his team, and will take time without a sugar daddy behind us.
Just sometimes, I'd like rafa to quit, and we get in someone like Martin O'Neil, then we'd see what we were missing.Reece, get off my wife.:whatever:

You state we are no nearer, yet we are. You lose.
I'll be back in a few hours (5) by the way. I wonder if you will still be here, i suspect you may not be. I am confident there are more than enough regulars that will debate your points with ease.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

I've thought the same. Sad isn't it.
