    Liverpool And Hamburg SV

Visiting Germany at the moment and was lucky enough to round up tickets to the Hamburg V Bremen match last night.

I saw lots of LFC patches and badges on the Hamburg fans, the atmosphere was fantastic and met some great people.

When Speaking with a few locals I told them I was over from Australia to see where Keegan left Liverpool for in 1977, and they were very enthusiastic about the man.

They presented me with Season ticket holder pins and scarves - great bunch of blokes, fanatical about their club, if your looking for a German team to follow you could do worse.

As an aside, the riot police with alsations and machine guns was an eye opener for a boy from Oz.
    Mental note to self:

They have a bit of a right wing support(all the local skinheads are HSV supporters),most normal Hamburgers support ST Pauli who have great links to Celtic and Sing YNWA every game.

I went to see Hamburg play Dortmund a few months a go,Hamburg played pretty well and hammered Dortmund.
The Dortmund fans sung a very out of tune YNWA.
Hopefully will be going to more Hamburg games, good set of fans.

There is some sort of link up between LFC and Borrusia Munchengladbach fans. I think both sets of official supporters club set up trips each year to each others game and this year its the turn of us to go there. It was something like £200 for a week including ticekts to the game and some sort of presentation as well.
