    Stephen Darby

No one seems to be congratulating him personally for the reserves triumph,
but the main reason i posted this was to see what you thought on him making the first team.

He is the captain of the reserves and yet no one seems to be mentioning him along the likes of Insua, Plessis and Nemeth etc.

Do you think he would be able to cut it in the premier league?

I thought Jay Spearing was the skipper? Or am i thinking of the youth team?

    Monday bloody mornings...

Was Darby not the captain at the final as Spearing was out injured?

Darby is defninitely the Reserve team captain, and when I have seen him he has been excellent too. He definitely has potential, and has the right attitude. He needs to bulk up a bit, as do several of the reserves, but is one with an outside chance of making it into the fringes of the 1st team squad sometime next season.

Spearing is the captain we he plays, He has scored some cracking goals too this season, unfortunately he looks too small to make it in the 1st team.

Darby has played well also, he's got the Finnan's about him - the unsung hero type, he could make it, probably needs to gain some 1st team experience elsewhere first though.
                We come not to play.

No, Darby is the captain of the reserve team. Spearing is vice captain.

Darby was also captain of the youth team last year.

Judging as we had nothing to play for and only Insua and Plessis have played, so would I.

Didn't Darby get a few games in the Carling Cup last season?

If he hasn't even managed that this season I can't see him making it.
