what a fooking cock the man is. he's named 7 players there and add stevie and carra means we're 2 off a top top first 11.

add to the fact that we've revamped the whole club and my god he's a dumb prick. cloud cuckoo land indeed.

tosser. good riddance. no longer a legend in my eyes. same goes for jim beglin after that CL commentary. pair of cocks.

disappointed if that is what Ronnie has said but even more disappointed at some of the abuse some of you are dishing out to a real legend, not an ex legend (what a stupid saying, how can you be an ex-legend??? you are either a legend or you are not surely!). IF he has said those things then they are his opinion. I would say he is far more entitled to his opinion than we are in fairness.

Tosser!! ****ing Cock!! Prick!! Yeah I can remember screaming all of that type of abuse at him when he put two past Spurs at Wembley, scored the goal that clinched the title, scored the winner at Wembley against the Mancs, etc etc

He is a top man irrespective of whether his own opinion matches you lots.

Yeah, legend of a player, tool when it comes to punditry.Follows Giles and Dunphy`s style/RTE`s agenda when he`s called in to comment on our smaller games when Dunphy is too pissed to make it to the studio.

Yeah fair play, and i dont mean to discount people's rights to a viewpoint but surely the whole point of being a legend IS about what he did as a player. He's not known as a legend for his punditry anyway, so nobody is saying he is By the same token, daft opinions dont really negate from his legendary status.

Sorry,DJ,some will equate his playing days and those thereafter as being his contribution to LFC.Our legend players are expected to be legend supporters aswell.

and thats a very fair point. Some legendary supporters on here would totally agree with him (if indeed he said it!)

                        this is my view.

if dalglish was to start slating the club in a way that clearly shows he's not even bothered to look into the facts or give the club a fair hearing, show an element of support would you think as highly of him? it'd disappoint me greatly. if you've nothing positive to say, don't say it. you'd think we'd finished just above the bottom 3 or something.

for me a liverpool legend has to be more than just a great player. loyalty to the club, at one with the fans. that kind of thing.

to spout out something that can undermine our manager without 'giving him his dues' - basically dismissing our recent european record - goes against that. its not like we don't have enough bull**** thrown against us in the press.

so the man's a cock for slating us. that and being a liverpool legend are mutually exclusive to me. can't be both in my eyes.

How do you distinguish between 'slating' the club and stating an opinion that changes are needed?

I dont agree with Whelan. I dont think him having a different opinion makes him a 'cock' however.

The fact that he's lying at worst, distorting the truth at best in order to make our manager look bad means that he's slating rather than criticising.

Rafa didn't spend as much as Mourinho, we reached 2 CL finals before his team (managed by someone else) made one and he's saying that makes him a better manager than Rafa, which of course doesn't stand up to scrutiny. In fact if he did say it, it just makes him look bitter and stupid and certainly holding an agenda against our manager.
"My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.

                                Isnt that an opinion though?
