Here's hoping man, it will be the sweetest ever if and when we win the Prem.
I long for that day, it would be my greatest moment as a fan and that's saying something after Istanbul.

Against the top teams when we had our full team we certainly didnt look out of the top class. Which top team took us apart, from memory apart from the away United match we well held our own and didnt get the results we deserved.
injuries have played a part there is no doubting that but arsenal have had injuries so have chealski and so have the manks,it cost arsenal but the manks and chealski have quality in depth something we dont have and like you said at times we lost the spine to our team and it cost us,but injuries are not the only reason we were out the league race by xmas and that is what iam trying to say.....

again our failure to beable to kill off teams cost us here not injuries, chealski 1-1 when they got that late pen we should of been home and dry by that time.Sat 22 Sep, Birmingham City at anfield 0-0 and all 4 strikers fit and on the field,Sun 07 Oct, Tottenham Hotspur again at anfield 2-2,threw away 3 points when we should of held on for all 3 instead of 1,LFC 1 – Arsenal 1 home game that up until the final 10 mins we were on for 3 points and yes injuries may have cost us this game as we lost alonso and torres in this game, but imo we should of been more than 1-0 up goin into the final 10 mins,Reading 3 – LFC 1, 1st loss of the season but can you ever see the manks or chealski loseing 3-1 away to reading who in the end were relegated...5 games before xmas that we lost out on all the points 4 out of the 5 games we had a fit squad and the majority of the big boys played.but failure to kill teams off cost us more than injuries....

there are problems that need adressing and its more than 1 thing.

If this is the case this is shocking that a club with our fan base and history are being outspent on players by the likes of Spurs. All i have to say is thank you very much MR Moores for making sure the future of the club is in safe hands. Hope that extra £8m is keeping you warm at night. You have managed to destroy the previous 35+ years of hard work by people who built this club into what is was before you got your grubby mitts on it in just over half the time.
if rafa raises 30m and has 15m thats 45m to spend. (glad i listened the day we done maths at school )

as has been mentioned further up the thread our spine is pretty strong - and in fairness to rafa he has built a pretty strong squad too.

i believe we are only 3-4 decent players from a challenge.

        solid spine:

reina - arguably in the top 3 in the world nuff said

carragher - getting on but by no means finished, a true leader on the field

agger - huge loss last season and hopefully comes back strong will be like a new free transfer as we have seen how good he can be.

skrtel - looks like he should be in prison but the lad can play, decent first season

macherano - potentially a liverpool great, tackles with the heart of souness, shoots like jimmy traore

steve - you know yourself - world class

babel - potential to be devastating

nando - best finisher we have had in a long time

these players barring injury should start the majority of games (skyrtel covering agger and carra)

        so thats 7 starters.

        assuming - finnan,riise,carson,crouch,alonso,pennant,veronin, kewell leave....

in our squad we then have arbeloa, insua, lucas, plessis, kuyt, nemeth(he will break into the team this year via carling cup etc i hope) benny, hyypia. some decent players in here.

        additions,

        deggen - attacking right back
        dossena - attacking left back
barry - who i think will start alongside macherano if signed (a direct replacement for alonso and under rated in my opinion)

if we can just get two more players in we can challenge. a decent winger and a decent striker...

rafa has transformed the club from top to bottom, he has started to build something special in my opinion...

i believe he can bring the title next season - if not the season after.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Words can't express my anger at that incompetent buffoon Moores and his clown in chief Parry. After all that talk about "trusting" them, "getting the decision right" and "you only sell the family silver once", they've well and truly ****ed the club over. I want them strung up by their bollocks
