My take is that he was trying to shadow the first teams 442. Brouwer no matter how bad he was, was as close to crouch i.e a big man to hold up the ball as we could get.

Remember at the beginning of last year we were using Antwi up front

I have been thinking this as well, but then I heard about the clear-out at the academy. Wasn?`t that about not making a "team" but improving the individual players? Then it would not make sense to play Brouwer even if he was to copy Crouch.

Fabulous to see the Academy pulling through so much 'local' talent......no?

Heh. Why are Bruna and Pachecho certs to make it through?

It amuses me how people get caught up in the hype of these kids....

Spain recently won the U-17 Euro's and at the end, no one was talking about them.

But we have young Bruno and Pacheco (sp) who are almost certs to make it through. Add to them Martin, Insua, Nemeth, Plessis and possibly 1 or 2 others who could also make it through at some point. Infact im pretty confident about Insua

most reserves never make the step up, it's not just a Liverpool, it's most sides.

If 4 or more of our reserves become first team regulars it should be considered a huge success.

Nemeth, hope he gets a bit more meat on him, can't tell you how much i rate this lad, could be a truly great player, hope Rafa gives him his chance, really don't want to lose this one.

Because Bruna and Pachecho were some of the most sought after talent in Europe. Just watch and see, they are both excellent players and they will make it.

Rafa has placed an emphasis on youth for a reason, these guys are hot property.

I hope you tried to nutmeg Craig Lindfield, that would be class if you pulled it off!

Says who though? A couple tribalfootball articles with some obscure quotes?

As someone who has watched all the reserves games this season, my view is that Nemeth is our brightest talent, perhaps along with Insua. Those two are at the top of the pile in terms of first teams prospects and talent being realized on the pitch.

Bruna and Pachecho are only 16 and given that their first year was purely tailored towards acclimatizing them to England and the football here, I really don't see how anyone can say with any sort of confidence that they'll *definitely* make the first team. That is, unless they're just basing it on hype and a few noddy media sound bites. Oh.

Leto was absolute bollocks in that one CL game he played in, can't remember who it was against now though...

To be fair Dani Pacheco has shown flashes of genuine class and brilliance at times - and often against 'grown men', while is still a slip of a boy. He has enormous potential.

Bruna hasn't done anything yet (except impress me with his half-time skills at Warrington ) but he's got plenty of time on his side.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

So did Adam Pepper at the age of 11. It doesn't mean he's DEFINITELY going to make it, which is an absurd opinion that many seem to subscribe to when it comes to Bruna and Pachecho just because they got excited by a few articles. He's got loads of potential, yeah, but that means **** all until he starts realizing it. As you say, he's shown a few flashes here and there, but nothing really to justify some of the **** people are coming out with - it's mostly based on the articles they read.

I like the idea of signing exciting young prospects as much as (if not more than) the next guy, but alls I'm saying is chill out with the hype.
