Eto'o can be a disruption but he can also be the driving force as he was with Barcelona a few years ago with a burning desire to win at all costs. I do think we miss that sort of figure in the dressing room - United have had the likes of Keane and Ronaldo and over the years built up a group mentality that helps them to succeed we need to do the same.
That said I think with Eto'o having the injury record he has recently you have to worry about how much of a disruption he might become. I'd love us to sign Villa or Eto'o but I don't think either player is a panacea for the failings of our team."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I think Eto'o is getting an unfair rap here really, he has been outspoken because of the lack of commitment of other players at Barcelona, and rightly so. He seems to be passionate player, and would excel in a highly disciplined squad such as ours.Comment

I'd very much go for Villa but if we hadn't done a deal before the Euro's he'll be out of our price range now IMO.
