    Protest against H & G in Norway 5th august!

Hi! I will start to introduce myself. My name is Daniel Kjelstrup and I’m from Norway. Sorry if my English could be misunderstood, but you have to live with it lads. We all know about Tom Hicks’ and George Gillett’s lack of competence and credibility, so I won’t use time to explain why we also dislike them here in Norway.

In connection with Liverpool FC’s pre-season match against the Norwegian team Vaalerenga in Oslo 5th august, we want to hold a protest against Hicks and Gillett. We want to show Europe that H & G not are wanted in the club anymore, not only by local fans in Liverpool, but also by fans in Norway. We have already discussed a lot about the protest. We have decided to use ten minutes in the start of the match to the protest. This is because we want to reach Medias in England with our message trough Television. We will sing songs and show banners against them. The interest round the match has been huge. The ticket sale started yesterday (20th June) only for Liverpool fans. And over 12000 tickets got sold out in just a couple of hours! The stadium fits about 25000 spectators. And the rest of the tickets will be sold on Tuesday (24th June). So, if you disregard the Vaalerenga fans, it can be up to 20000 Liverpool fans. So, the possibility is absolutely there.

I’m writing about this here in hope to get some experience from you guys who have done this before.

We will be very thankful if you can share your thoughts about these things:
-How we should deliver our message.
    -Witch songs we should sing.
-What we should write on our banners.
    -Should we contact media?

If there is something else we should care about, please come with it.

    Thanks lads!

    Best Regards.

    Daniel Kjelstrup.

    Ease up, pal!

Lets wait & see what they bring to us this summer as you lot may end up with egg on your face!
The stadium is going ahead as announced today so the funding must be in place for that.
Most of our big transfers dont happen until July for salary reasons. I mean whats the point in getting someone major in June paying his salary while he takes a holiday when pre-season commences in early July & save a few weeks wages!...a bit of common sense here as we dont have money to burn!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

We have 60M GBP to get started as part of the last refinance agreement. That should be enough to dig a big **** off hole in the ground.

        Firstly, welcome to Est

Secondly I support any proposed protest against G&H wholeheartedly as there is no doubt in my mind that they are completely unsuitable as custodians of our club.

Thirdly, I may be in Oslo on 5th August - if I can get tickets for the match I will gladly participate in any anti-G&H protests.

Daniel, wait until nearer the time before go ahead with this. Still lots of time until August 5th

Give them until the end of July and then lets see what position we are in. Its hard to tell what the plans are with them at the moment. July should make things alot clearer and then at the end of July you can decide if it's time to protest

I am surprised people are still willing to give them a chance. For me they have already proven without doubt they are not worthy 'custodians' and I want them out.

So what if they spend 50m on transfers? That was a minimum requirement of any new owner, as was the stadium.

They have lied about the debt on the club - we are already in huge debt which will just get worse and they do not have the resources to turn this round.

And they have compromised Rafa, our best Manager since The King, on more than one occasion, actively seeking a replacement behind his back.

They have lost my trust and as far as I am concerned I wish Daniel every success with his protest in Norway.

Spot on son. Remember every penny they spend in transfers gets us further into debt. When it comes to the yanks, there are simply no chances left.

Yes but the point is that the situation might be completely different 1 month from now so no point setting a protest up at this stage

What will be different? We'll still be ****loads in debt, we'll still need to draw down another £250m to finance the stadium works to completion, and the two yanks will still be liars.

The only thing that can happen in my book that would make the proposed protests obsolete would be if neither G&H were owners of the club come then. Nothing else.

                      Thanks Dad.

The debt situation is really worrying, and now we have the cost of the new stadium as well, plus the interest payments. They need to go asap and allow a capable investor like DIC, who have the resources, to get the clubs future secured.

they have spoken of the "possibilty" of replacing rafa - no harm in that imo - 4th is 4th fella and no good to us - its the blinkered that cant see that
they have spent plenty on transfers - lets see what they spend this summer as people have said.
there never has been as far as im aware a trreasure chest of over 50mill if the DIC took over ?
the yanks have ****ed up sure and probably will do again but maybe its time to realise and think that thet havent exactly been the 100% cunts some have them down for
and also that getting DIC in is no guarantee that the good times will roll

Thanks for many good and serious replies!

But, in my mind (and many others), the yanks have no chance left. They have done the damage and it can not be repaired as I see it.

Someone here are a bit skeptic, but the protest will be done.
I posted the same in the RAWK forums, and they are very positive to the protest. I've been trying to get in contact with SoS, but I'm waiting for them to answer.

So, it would be nice if you guys please could help us with giving me some tips.

I'm glad you remain defiant. I think SOS will be your best source of inspiration of how best to protest against them. Good luck with it. I may even see you there with any luck.

Rubbish. If they were talking about it then it should have been done behind closed doors and noone should ever have known about it. The fact that Rafa knew all about it and the fact they actually spoke to another coach while Rafa was still at the healm shows their complete lack of knowledge of our club or its traditions.

Add to that the fact that they would also have been getting rid of our best manager in nearly 20 years also shows they know nothing about the game.
