carson is a great shot stopper. saw him play for wednesday a few times. looks great, very athletic......but he cant command his defence and isnt particularly quick at seeing openings.

A good keeper, not a great one......i am sure Rafa would have kept him as baack up given a choice, but he wants 1st team footie.

agreed, although i am glad for him and for us that he has gone, rafa's got good profit from this one, job well done on a player who has'nt cost us the world in fees or wages.
        good luck to him though

He's a good keeper, the trouble is we need some one at a higher level

Good I was starting to worry he was holding out for a bigger team

Hope there is a sell on clause in there - he'll look good for Brom; what with the amount of shots he'll be having to save...

I think someone said we have agreed a buy back fee, not sure if it's true but if it is if/when West Brom go down maybe we can buy him back on the cheap and sell him for a bigger profit

great so with all the practice he gets hopefully he'll look good. brom still go down - we buy him back for 3 million and immediately sell/loan him to the next lot of over achievers or with a bit of luck off the back of his heroic efforts back to villa in a straight swap with gareth barry!
