Who has had the best pre-season so far?

A lot is expected of Babel he seems to have all the right attributes, pace, strength, a wicked shot etc. BUT, it just doesn't seem to hang together, even with those attributes you still feel that he needs to up it a level to be effective.

Pacheco, well he's too small, too inexperienced, too non-english. BUT he has VISION. There are so few players that have that spark that allows them to see that burgenoning chance. Him and Lucas appear to be on the same wavelength!

Pacheco is only 17 and needs a season in the reserves. Nemeth is more ready than him.

Babel obviously doesn't need to try in this pre-season. His real pre-season is the Olympics

I left Nemeth out of it on purpose. I want one more season in the reserves for him so he can work on his build up play an finishing with his left foot. Once that is done I will declare him as the messiah, which is what, to my mind, he is

pre season is in no way indicative of how a player will cut the mustard when it comes down to the real game or upcoming season... I have learnt that the hard way ... fecking Bruno

mate, pacheo looked ok yesterday, but you cant compare him to babel. Babel is years ahead of him, was the youngest goal scorer for holland and a regular in the dutch and Ajax sides at 18/19. Pacheo is just a young talent who may or may not make it out of the ressies. Think we will need to look a pacheo in 2/3 yrs time to see if he has progressed.

Babel has all the attributes to be world class but I question his motivation to get there. I know it just pre season but every player out there looks like they are trying their best apart from Babel who doesn't seem arsed. It winds me up rotten.

Like the look of Pacheco though, looks lightweight but really holds his own out there. High hopes for this lad.

this thread is so pointless.. Babel has just come back from injury and started pre-season later than what Pacheco did. He said himself that he's still not 100%, he's also been called the laziest trainer in the past by our own players. Pacheco has clearly been better in pre-season and he's played more games, he's impressed me but it seems you've made this thread as a "why isn't Babel playing better" type thing.
