    :-)

That's like saying Gonzalez was the best player in Chile. Still didn't cut it did he?
They are by no means the worst team in the prem.

I was using it to try and argue the people who claim he is a one season (or less) wonder, when he is quite clearly not.

I personally think Barry would be a great buy. I don't want to lose Alonso but think Barry will take us on that extra step. I really believe in the 4-2-3-1 formation he could be the missing link that makes us challenge properly for the title.

I'm sure he was going to get sold not too long ago to a mid-table team. Form is temporary, averageness is forever

And when we bought 'Middlesborough's best player' in Bolo Zenden

We've lost Riise and Kewell as options on the left. We need to fill the gap a LMF. If that is Gareth Barry, we're not going forward very much.

Agreed mate. It's a shame we've only bought the best players from Chile and Middlesborough and not the best players from say Brazil or Valencia for example

Ignoring 3 friendly games for England, he's never been a 'wonder'.

Trinidad and Tobago. Was Dwight Yorke playing midfield for them?

Is it really any surprise that you two get so much stick on here when you resort to smug and condescending little digs like you have in the last few posts?

Oh come on Reece. It's Monday afternoon. We're only joking about (Well I am anyway)

Like I said Barry at £10m would be a good signing. Anything above that it's a waste of money

I believe Rafa knows more about football than anyone on this forum. If he has decided he needs Barry more than Alonso then i'm certain he has a very good reason for that decision. So for that reason Barry.

Truth is you don't need to be as smart as Rafa to see why the change needs to be made.
