    Ynwa

Not sure whether this has been discussed anywhere.

At the 'Boro game You'll Never Walk Alone was played NOT as the players were entering the pitch via the tunnel (like what has always been done) but once they were actually on it.

After the match i was told this was by request of Rafa and the team as they wanted to be there whilst the whole song was played and not just the closing verses.

So whats your thoughts? should they change the tradition of YNWA being played as the teams come out? which do you think would intimidate the opposition and inspire our boys?
    We come not to play.

I prefer it to be played as they come on, i.e. starts when they walk down the tunnel. However, over the past decade or more even, I have noticed the players come out towards the end of the song which I don't like.

I agree it should be played as they emerge from the tunnel to get them fired up but to be honest I think we have bigger issues to deal with.

actually what took place was dire, first home game and everything. we have our traditions, ynwa works the way we've always done it. i'd be very very surprised if we continue with this stupidity.

Well as we have not won the title for 18 years you could say that it is broke.

As long as the song is played I don't see that it matters. If Rafa thinks it should be slightly delayed then I will not lose any sleep over it. In fact it is very noticable that by the time they get to kick off the crowd has gone quiet. Maybe this way we'll still be in a singing mood.

Happened under GH too. The Kop will start signing at the traditional time every week and this will go back to normal in a while. Fans know best.

it was sung in the years we were winning it when they came out
it is one of the reasons other teams/players/fans and the like acknowledge that our support (granted not every match) on certain occasions is fantastic and makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. it has put fear into the opposition for years

so as i say why change it

Shouldnt change. Its great to read what certain players think when they're getting ready to come out and they can hear the not-so-loud-from-inside crowd as they sing, but the moment they come outside they're floored by the noise. More powerful from the sounds of it. And with the chance of demoralizing the oppositions players a little.

I reckon they should change it to "Boom Boom Shake The Room"

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

it kind of stopped all the singing of players names and their respective songs which was all a bit too weird, we went Sat and Wed and Wed felt more "correct", don't like it
