Please, Rafa, pick this boy for LFC!!!

The son of Michael Laudrup - who has been in Real Madrid for the last 1½ year, has now returned to Denmark to play as an amateur with no contracts at all.

This article has been in Danish newspapers (http://politiken.dk/fodbold/article565689.ece):
    ----
Andreas Laudrup: I play for Lyngby
The 17-year-old footballer is expected to play as an amateur the rest of the season.

In the wake of Michael Laudrups expected signature on a trænerkontrakt with the Russian storklub Spartak Moscow has arisen a lot of rumours about the future of the fodboldspillende Sunday, Andreas Laudrup.

The 17-year-old Andreas Laudrup, who not long ago was operated for a ankelskade, and is now in the process of rehabilitation, has in the last year and a half game for Real Madrid - who would like to take out a contract with the Danish U19-landsholdsspiller.

Just as a few well-known clubs in the Netherlands will.

'But it is nothing of yet,' says Andreas Laudrup to politiken.dk.

"As it stands right now, I am going home to Denmark and play for Lyngby as amateur for the rest of the season. It is important for me to get in proper form and be ready for U19-landsholdets European championship qualifying matches.

    The door closed in Moscow
It was really Andreas Laudrups desire to follow with parents and Siw Michael Laudrup and lillesøsteren Rebecca to Moscow - and he was also, as the family at the weekend was in the Russian capital to see the situation.

'But the admission to Spartak Moscow reservehold is over, there may unfortunately not be new players in to this side of New Year', says Andreas Laudrup, who turns 18 in november.

Reserveholdet in Spartak has won the Russian 'reserve Championship' 3 years in a row and consists of near 3 players exclusively of young people under 23 years.

'Clean development would have been ideal for me to be a part of the troupe, says Laudrup.

'But when I, however, give priority to my fodboldkarriere higher than any other, so it makes no sense to take to Moscow for only the coach. Therefore, I will travel to Denmark, where I first must try to live alone. I would prefer in Copenhagen than in Madrid. But it will be quite a challenge ", he says riallera.

    Million-offer is nonsense
In the last few days the 17-year-old offensive midtbanespiller, there are 'two-leg' just like his father - "he has taught me that the sweet and friendly way" - read that Spartak Moscow would buy him for 7, 5 million dollars. But that young Laudrup said no because he would rather be with his girlfriend in Copenhagen.

"It is pure nonsense. In the first, there is no reason to buy me - I am not under contract anywhere, and they never have, I am an amateur and no cost to you, 'says Andreas Laudrup.

'The second is that Moscow closer to Copenhagen than Madrid, it is, should it be about my girlfriend. But it does not here. It is about football. And on my future opportunities.

    Writes not taking on something
What Andreas Laudrup make klubmæssigt after the end of the year, when he is not. It depends on the opportunities that arise.

"There are some Dutch clubs who would like to have me on the contract, but I do not want to sign on something the first few years. I want to be free, and for the same reason, I am free, 'says Andreas Laudrup, who read a single HF over the network - and whose 19-year-old big brother Mads Laudrup is under contract at FC Copenhagen.

Could he find to go to Moscow after the New Year to play for Spartak Moscow reservehold? 'I can not say anything about now. It comes entirely depends on how I handle myself alone in Copenhagen, and what other fodboldmuligheder, give 'says Andreas Laudrup to politiken.dk.

Agree - but DK has had strong players before - even though very few became a hit in the PL. BrianLaudrup, whom Everton tried to get from Rangers in 1994 (have a letter from their manager from that period confirming that - he didn't want to come, as he'd been a failure at Chelsea). Gronkjaer, Hoegh, Goldbaek, Claus Jensen, Thomasson, M. Johansen (Bolton), Beck (Middls) etc. never has set the PL aligth. You only have J. Olsen (Scum) and MOLBY, who were real successes before Agger.

As you may have seen, the two only really outstanding Danish players in Lissabon (where we beat Portugal), were AGGER and Bendtner. They are also the only two Danes who rigth now are able to reach the level of the PL!

.... but I would hope that LFC gets this boy, as he has the talent (and his brother, Mads) in a few years to reach at least the same level.

I've never seen this kid play but if he is any good he needs to be pulled out of Danish football as soon as possible to let his game progress. I didn't see Agger or Bendtner play in Denmark but they must have been beacons waiting to be picked off by bigger teams outside Denmark.

In my opinion the level of football is really low in DK. Maybe Championship level. That said I haven't watched a lot, a few FCK games including one against Brondby (sorry for the spelling, I don't have the right keyboard) and I was surprised at how slow the DK game is.

It is a pity for football over here because the national side suffers...............or so I thought until last night.

What part of DK are you from Mr.Pastry?

Erm, am I missing something here?

Released by Real Madrid and no takers? On that evidence, he doesn't seem very talented.

He chose to go himself, without having a back-up plan. He's very talented.

Oh.. btw, now that we are talking the Laudrups, his father was about to join liverpool in the mid 80'ies, but didn't because LFC tried to cheat him out of the contract that had already been negotiated...
