      Pointless.
It does come across as hypocritical, but I haven't actually read it in context, so it's unreasonable to draw snap conclusions.

        A fair point.
        Oh I don't know.

it's openly written by Bascombe, he has his own acknowledgements in there and thanks Carragher for not letting one of the sunday tabloid journos do it instead of him

                See above /\

He also comes across as one of the least modest people ever to write a book.

I think it's sad to see, Carra says how surprised he was at Rafa slagging off the boss and breaking workplace practice, yet here he is doing the same thing in a book, wtf is happening to football.

Does Carra really need the money NOW!, there is a time and place for everything, and imo Carra maybe has not helped matters here, although, he could just be so confident of his good relationship with Rafa that he feels able to say such things without Rafa taking it the wrong way.

The problem will come from the press, and the constant questioning of Rafa about how he feels about it. Press conferences taken over with questions about his relationship with Carra, when Rafa want's to talk football, all unnecessary and avoidable, if Carra had waited a couple of years or so.

Although, from what i have heard from other sources, Carra is very very complimentary towards Rafa in general, and his ability as a manager, so as someone said, it's all about context.

This Thread could easily have been called "CARRA COMPLIMENTS RAFA", with clips where he talks up the boss, but obviously our attention was meant to be drawn to the negative stuff.

I don't think I will buy the book. Reading it will tarnish his reputation in my eyes. WTF was he thinking?

Carragher is one of the few players in our squad who has earnt the right over the years to speak honestly and truthfully about LFC. The other's being Sami and Stevie.

He can say whatever the **** he likes.

Don't think it's really the 'what', but the 'when' that's the problem most have, this at the start of such an important season, could imo have been timed better.

Not happy with Jamie over the past few days >> there is a sense of double speak about his self promotion and criticism of others about not following the 'liverpool way'

He isn't talking just before the Mancs game. His book is being serialised and they've decided to release these quotes now. And how the hell is he self-promoting? He's written an autobiography

Nothing wrong with what he has said. He's spoken the truth in his book.

The guy is a legend for me. Awesome player and a great servant to the club. Remember towards the end of last season apparently turned upto one of the SOS meetings and talked about how the Yanks need to be out
