    At Least Carragher Is Honest

While Jamie Carragher is nowhere near the superman Liverpool fans usually claim him to be, he's an honest guy who is a realist. He is one of those born and bred Scousers who can be taken seriously.

After United beat Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield with that O'Shea goal, to the question 'what Liverpool need to challenge for the title?' Carragher coolly responded: 'better players'. And once again he revealed that he's got a touch of realism that eludes most of his fellows.

'I'm not a great believer in being lucky or unlucky. I'm a big believer in 'you get what you deserve'.

'United over the last few years have probably edged it with us and small details in football make a difference.'

'That's why they've been better than us and that's something we need to liven up.'

What would Benitez say? That they controlled the game and created chances. He always says that, even when they mostobviously don't. But at least his number one defender is a realist.

Fair enough article if you ask me.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

Hes right, no issue whatsoever with that. To be honest 99% of what Carra says is accurate.

Yeah i remember when he said Crouch was the best striker he's ever faced. Besides that I've not heard him ever talk nonsense

Except he didn't actually say that, did he. He said Crouch had given him probably his most torrid going over as a centre-back, when we lost at Southampton.

And personally I don't recall a worse 'doing' than the one Carra got that afternoon. Crouch had him in a proper pickle.

              On more than one occasion.

Didn't most of those come after the St Mary's mauling? He was speaking 'at the time'.

Apologies. He bracketed Crouch up their with Henry as the best striker in the Premiership

Anyways, I don't want to have a pop at Carra as I've said many times the guy is a legend and an awesome player

I'll let the tosser comment ride. Just because you put a at the end it doesn't make it alright. Not quite sure on your "Mates" comment either...but I guess you understand it
