I dont always disagree with you but you're in need of changing the record on this occasion. We just performed immensely to beat Man Utd convincingly, and had a tricky away trip to follow. It was never going to be champagne football tonight and in the context of a CL group, it's sometimes worthwhile to settle for a draw in the away games, as you deprive the opposition of 3 home points. As it goes, we won.Originally posted by Rashid View PostAttacking the needless signing of Lucas is an attack on Rafa - and there is a whole season left mate - a win against United doesn't mean Rafa has cracked it or he gets a new contract. We were woeful today too...
In short, stop pin-pointing every negative you can find every single time.

Do you EVER take the circumstances into account??Originally posted by Rashid View PostI look at the passing, movement and quality of football and for me that was ale house tonight.
Christ mate, i normally defend some of your points, but you're really scraping the bottom of the barrel tonight.

Well aren't you the progressive thinker and student of the game!Originally posted by Rashid View PostI look at the passing, movement and quality of football and for me that was ale house tonight.
1st half our attacking play was good for the most part and we opened them up. We were leggy. Why don't you ever look at the big picture? ****ing moaning about winning away in Europe ffs. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I put tonights performance down to the United game and the fatigue and I have already said that it was a good result. The football was awful though and I'd hate to revert to type after such a good win.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostDo you EVER take the circumstances into account??

I dont think we consciously chose to revert to it, i just think that we were jaded and it ended up being a 'by any means' kind of win.Originally posted by Rashid View PostI put tonights performance down to the United game and the fatigue and I have already said that it was a good result. I dont think that's how we intend to play, or how we'll seek to play in other games either, it was just a consequence of circumstance.
Look at the positive, we could (or should) have drawn or lost, but we won.
Take the performance for what it was and revel in the win.
We'll be top on Saturday night, so life isnt so bad.

So a 2-1 win away from home in Europe is useless? The first half was pretty even, they had the better play of the ball in the second. But lets be honest Babel had the best of the chances in the second half until the last 5 minutes.Originally posted by Rashid View PostAttacking the needless signing of Lucas is an attack on Rafa - and there is a whole season left mate - a win against United doesn't mean Rafa has cracked it or he gets a new contract. You keep shouting about facts that arent facts, but you dont accept facts that are real. Some of the players out there were completely shattered from traveling for internationals then playing out of their skins against United. We had our best two players coming back from injury and couldnt play the full 90 minutes.
Ahh finally so another attack on Rafa after another win... And a whole season of the same old ****. You really dont help yourself, still unbeaten and still attacking the team and management.

Have to agree that was one of the best spells (although short) of Babel up front for Liverpool. He was a menace and hope to see him get a few more games up front. Havent always been a fan of Babel up front but if he can keep playing like that then he should do well.Originally posted by Craig_H View Post
The problem is though, that Babel is a constant threat and i'd put his missed chances down to a bit of inexperience and a still developing sense of footballing intelligence. You cant use those excuses for Dirk Kuyt.
