TBH Liverpool fans don't bite on that show. They're always coming up with topics concerning us and trying to get a reaction and, as I said, our fans don't even bother ringing in. This isnt really 'football' as such, it's the individual opinion of how highly someone rates a player. Gerrard is pretty much FACTUALLY better than Lampard, and if someone genuinely believes differently, it doesnt have an affect on my life in any way, shape or form.

So i really aint fussed if people rate Lampard higher than Gerrard. If the england manager does too, and picks Lampard while dropping Gerrard, that would please me.

If I was Capello I'd stick with Lampard. Why change a winning team? Would be a big statement to the players that no player is guaranteed to start and that if you play well you will keep your place.

And Gerrard can come on as sub with a point to prove and with his versatality could come on for anyone having a poor game in the final two thirds of the pitch.

Plus he wouldn't get knackred playing for England and would come back fresh.

I would tend to agree with you, if its not broken dont fix it, and I think Cappello is that kind of manager .. England looks pretty impressive last outing

Gerrard is a fantastic player, no question but he would never fit into my team. Essien does everything Gerrard does & more, Lampard is a better attacking threat, and Cescy boy controls games when you need to keep it tight.

I'm not for one second saying that Torres & Gerrard are rubbish, just not right in my team. Mascherano is a great defensive midfielder but he can only do a job in that role alone, he's not versatile enough & nothing compared to Essien"
