I think this is what really separates Reina from other great keepers. His reading of and reaction to dangerous situations, his great distribution and he's a hell of a shot stopper too! I wouldn't swap him for Buffon or Casillas.

It amazes me how some people cant just accept that someone has a different view.
Have i said i don't accept your view? Don't get so defensive.

A keeper is a keeper in that he is a shot-stopper, a sweeper, an organiser, all rolled into one. It's a bit different from swappin a central midfielder for an attacking midfielder. But surely, if you feel Buffon is better than Reina, surely you'd rather Buffon was between the sticks? If you'd rather it was Reina, then wouldn't that mean that you're rating one above the other?

Cassilas seems to make the more spectacular saves, but whether that is down to poorer positioning or better ability I couldn't say. And that is despite seeing him nearly as much as Reina due to Skys obsessive coverage of Barca and Real.

Buffon was always my favourite, but I'm not sure of his current level of ability as I haven't seen him in ages. What I can say is that Reina is still quite some distance from matching the Buffon of 4 or 5 years a go.

Either way we have a fantastic keeper and even if he doesn't improve I'd be more than happy to have him between the sticks for the next decade or so.
        Forwards.......

To the tune of Phil Collins, "I wish it would rain down"

He plays in shirt number twenty five
If he has to make a save then he'll dive
But he is Liverpool's number one
And the best in the world bar none

Now, we all wish for a Reina, Pepe's his name
We all wish for a Reina and we're sooooo glad he came

We've got the best since Brucie retired
And we will never hear that Pepe's been fired
A keepers never meant to win us the game
But it looks like he did it again

Now, we all wish for a Reina, Pepe's his name
We all wish for a Reina at the top of his game

          I'm sorry. I'm truly sorry
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

You havent said you dont accept my view, but all you're doing is continuously asking 'but why?' 'Why?' 'Why?' It's like a kid... 'why mummy?' 'why?' all the time.

And then you go on to tell me what i MUST prefer, what i'm thinking and the like. 'But surely you must think this?' It's hilarious.

Buffon is more experienced, proven at the very highest of levels, played a numerous world cups and european championships and delivered every time.

I consider him to have more authority around his box and the world's best keeper.

I'd rather have Reina because he's proven FOR US, he has a good relationship with the manager and is much younger.

I await your next reply asking me to keep explaining myself, as if i've done something wrong by having a different opinion.

Maybe both keepers are as good as each other.

Nope, Reina is better, in fact the best around.
