i think we've learned that lesson

if we're resting players i'd rather win the game after 60 minutes and then take players off.

I agree that Riera needs as many games as possible to really build up an understanding of his new team mates but I hope Babel doesn't become the super sub as a result of his versatility.

Benitez will toy with the idea of resting Torres for the visit of Stoke with the striker still not 100 percent following his hamstring injury.

But it is more likely that he will miss the Carling Cup game against League One Crewe
