Thing is, there are certain posters who, after a bad result, will come flocking onto the website to have a rant and a rage, but the same posters are not to be seen after we've had a decent result.

We know we've played badly, or not got the result we wanted...we do'nt need reminding. But rather than coming on to whinge, we try and pick out the good things in our play. For example, the Stoke game...we created at least 3 gilt edged chance (Torres header wide, Torres left foot shot that he fluffed completely, Keanes flick in the box, Kuyt's near post drive the Sorenson saved...) and had a perfectly good goal disallowed. So how about we focus on the positive aspects, rather than coming on here and winding people, who are already pissed off at the result, up even further.

C'mon Sarb, you saw the game...give me some positives from it. We know the result wasn't right, and that we didn't get the breakthough our chances deserved...but find me some positives for a change, rather than using a poor result as an excuse to have a go again.

I agree, that does seem to be a bit of a trait with a few posters, i hope people dont think i'm in that group though.

Regarding the Stoke game though mate, 3 chances isnt even the minimum requirement in such a game, so i dont personally see it as a positive.

Not being a doom monger, but i honestly cant think of many positives from that game, other than the fact that we didnt concede a goal. So, a clean sheet is the one (and only) real positive, in my opinion.

It's a results business though and the crucial factor was the one we got wrong.

No, that was three clear cut chances, chances that should have been put away. Against a 10 man defence, that is good going. If we'd put away any of those chances, or if our goal had stood, Stoke would have had to take chances and more openings would have appeared.

Mate I think you have me confused with someone else. I didn't come on this board and start having a pop at Rafa and the players straight after the game. My first post on it was that I thought there was nothing wrong with the tactics in the match and it was refreshing to see Carra coming forward and having a few attempts at goal rather than leaving four back.

I pointed out a few weeks ago that I felt we'd struggle to breakdown teams who came to Anfield to defend. Even yesterday I agreed with Red Chilli I think that that's not necesarrily down to tactics but also a lack of quality players in certain positions.

Secondly, I said when Babel came on we lost a bit of impetus on the left and the width went. He's a habit of cutting in all the time. Not a criticism just a viewpoint.

There was then a thead on Rafa's summer signings. I stated my view that I didn't see the point in signing Degen and selling Finnan as Degen has been injury prone for a while. To me I would have kept Finnan.

So I don't get why I constantly get quoted as having a go at the team and players or not being a Liverpool fan

And Fredo, I'm not going off crying to mods. At the end of the day this is a forum and Harvey has continuously come on and referred to me as a c*nt and thinks it's funny. I just make my point as a Liverpool fan. If people don't agree then that's fine. I don't think there is a need for personal insults in reply though.

Me Rage, and Rashid get continuously blamed for ruining these forums. To be honest, it's also other people who don't like our views who just go round hurling personal insults that are contributing to the downfall of this site as well

Personally I think Harvey's one week ban was well deserved and I applaud the Mods for doing it

                  Good post.

Whilst I think you can be harsh in your criticisms, you always present your case very clearly and concisely so it is easy to understand your viewpoint.

It is good to read differing opinions and you should continue regardless of what people think. I mean, this is a discussion forum after all, isn't it?

One point though, no team even blessed with world class wingers or forwards would have been able to cut through Stoke easily last saturday. They played so defensively and so deep that space was a premium. We did create clear cut chances though and not just the odd chances, we created a lot.

When Yossi came on he started creating havoc because he was fresh, is skillful and the Stoke City players were tiring. It's just pure bad luck that we didn't win this match; the disallowed goal a case in point.

That is why I don't understand why we're still trying to find faults when there's not many. We're still water tight as a defense and possess two of the most feared attackers in world football + the best midfielder around.

Happy days for me unless we cock everything up in the next couple of months which I doubt. We're notoriously good as the season progresses and we're in a much much better situation than last season. This is the year when we're are going to be very close, take my word from it.

i'm rather confused by this vague accusation that some of us only post when we lose. thats nonsense, we also post when we win. its just that when we lose responding to our posts become the means through which people vent their frustrations. call it a community service.

Also made a comment yesterday that I felt an Arshavin type player would have been ideal for beating teams like these. Just my opinion
