I emailed him to call him on it and he came up with such a bunch of superficial BS that it was obvious he had sold out, he knew he had sold out but wouldn't admit it to himself. He may as well have voted for the Tories.

Aye, I was having a dig at Robbie's book which was gash

wouldn't quite go as far as calling it gash as Robbie was arguably the last of the characters in the game (everyone's too controlled and media trained now) and had a few interesting things to say but the working class bit got a bit much

my favourite Liverpool book is still A Season On The Brink, I still read passages to cheer me up or to gee me up for an interview or if I've got a presentation to do where I'll possibly come under pressure

Robbie's book is good - certainly doesn't mince his words when it comes to talking about Keegan and especially Thommo. I'd recommend it TBH.
