Everything's great now but next Sunday...

it's feckin Chelski away & the way we r playing compared 2 them I would be happy 2 only lose by 1 or 2 goals. Kuyt played well up front but he's no Torres. I think we r gonna struggle big time next week, especially the way we start games, ie. only start playing properly in the 2nd half. I'm VERY worried!!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

I tend to think the lads will be up for it, ready to play up to the big occasion. No doubt the Chavs are a very hard nut to crack at home, but that run has to come to an end sometime doesn't it - whay not next weekend.

when i saw the score yesterday i worried they would be unplayable, but i dout we'll be gifting chances like boro.
none the less a draw with our most potent attacking weapon out would be a good result, especially away given their record

A draw would be just fine. I'd rather Torres were available, but I'm not overly worried. They're a good team, so are we. Kuyt may not be as potent in front of goal as Torres, but his workrate and defensive abilities will be really important against the Chavs. As long as we stay tight at the back and Mascherano plays well then we should be capable of stopping them playing flowing football, like we did against United.

Lallana, Lovren, Moreno, Vorm, Shaqiri , Memphis Depay and Adele Ali
              Players who should be going
Reina, Brad Jones, Coates, Kelly, Agger, Lucas, Assaidi, Suso, Borini, Aspas

Chelski are not playing well and they will be wary of us, in my mind its the premierships 2 great tacticians coming head to head.

This is our opportunity to show we really mean business.

The point about starting slow is valid, we cant afford to start like we have in the last 2 games against Chelsea, but happy to lose???

Big game. Anything can happen. It is pathetic to hear people say they would be happy with a one goal loss. If we are to be genuine title contenders we have to expect a result wherever we go. A draw next week is ok, a win is excellent. A win and we'll be clear at the top of the table where Liverpool FC belongs. Chelsea are not unbeatable. We will break their home record and go top.

I agree with the rest of what you say but Chelsea are playing some excellent football and winning with ease. We can setup in a totally different way to what we have done in the last two games if we choose adding much more solidity to the team.

Without Torres I think Chelsea might be over confident but they have shown this season that they are very well organised unit with everyone knowing their roles. I also think that the lack of pace could be a problem for us as we need to stretch them to make room for the likes of Alonso to have an influence. Kuyt will have to be upfront which means that whoever goes on the right will have to replicate his workrate if we are to thrive.

I certainly hope the players don't go in to the game with that attitude
