    Christ almighty

Luckily the players haven't adopted that attitude when up against it so far this season.

A draw would be fine and we can do them at Anfield when the kid is fit. That said though I'm not in the least bit worried about this game.We aren't playing brilliantly but we are playing with great grit, determination and belief. We can get a positive result without doubt

I don't think I have ever watched Liverpool play and said I would be happy if they lost. What a ridiculous comment.
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

Just listening now to how one match report described Boro as playing like a 'Dead Sheep', and it wasn't that they were beaten by a superior team on the day but that they were total bollocks.

I'm not reading too much into yesterdays result, yes, no doubting the Chav's are playing well, but not as well as that result implies.

We are Liverpool Fc, Not Boro on a bad day.

Boro were garbage yesterday and made Malouda look amazing FFS. Our players will take the game to chelsea. They dont have Petr Ceck, Essien, Dogbreath, Bollocks or Carvalho. They struggle to cope with us with those 5 players so we can def beat them without those 5 players available to them

C'mon ****ing Cudicini, Belletti, Bridge, Alex, Mikel, Malouda. How many of them would get into our team?

We will go into the game with every confidence and I expect a positive result, i.e. a win!!! Won't be easy but the mentality we have shown this season gives me every confidence we can do it, with or without Torres.

Whatever happens, we will be in at least second place next Sunday evening.

That in my book is progress. Let's hope our own run continues.
                Oh I don't know.

Maybe last day of the season 1995 against Blackburn, I did a bit.

Sorry to burst your bubble... but Chavsi will have Cech, Carvalho & Deco back in the side... As for us losing to Chavski... I don't think so... I expect it to be a score draw... if we won this...well we'd be a happy bunch next sunday evening. It will be a tense match... and who know... Robbie K could steal the day... he's scored his first for us - but I think he is due a couple more goals...

I'd take a draw next week and I think that's what we'll get. We are not giving away many chances (Wigan took two out of three, and Man City similar), so look reasonably solid at the back, and we are much better going forward than last year. I reckon nil nil is favourite next week, but either side could nick it with a bit of luck. I'd take a draw though. A point away against them, the Mancs, and Arsenal would be fine by me. Beat a couple of them at home and we are already 8-10 points better off than in previous seasons.

Like I said in the post match thread, theres no shame in a draw next week as long as we make sure we get the win when we get them to Anfield.

The worrying thing for me is that if we continue the habit of going a goal or two down we could end up getting spanked rather than making another Herculean comeback.

Haven't seen much of Chelsea yet this season so I don't know how I'd like to see us set up against them but obviously it's imperative that we get Mascher back. As with games against Utd our best bet could be by getting in behind the fullbacks so I wouldn't be surprised to see Pennant start again with Dirk up front.

a draw would be acceptable if they are battering us maybe..but in now way should we be defeatist going into this match 1/5 into the season and its the top 2 sides, we havent played exceptionally gracefully bit we deserve to be up there and a better performance against Stoke would mean we'd be 2 points above them.
this is a derby match now, anything can happen and I will be at the bookies putting money on the great chav run at home being taken this weekend. **** them.

                              Happy to lose? Nonsense.

Do you not think we'll step it up, bearing in mind the higher level of opposition?

We might well lose and it's not a disaster if we do, but we're capable of getting something there, even a win if we got the rub of the green.

Never happy to lose any game.
