I expect him to go to Spurs myself, they seem front runners and Newcastle don't have any money. The Owen deal was done with a loan (first time Newcastle have done that) so they can't afford to splash out again. They need a striker first and foremost so their money will be concentrated there. Plus I think N'Zogbia is one of their best players.

In terms of our stacked left side- Bolo is more of a central midfielder who can fill in on the left these days, Kewell might be sold/gone next summer because of his contract expirey which just leaves JAR (better at left back these days) and Gonzalez. However, i believe Duff can play on the right and has done so for Chelsea, so in that resect he would get 1st team football with Anderson pushing him all the way towards the end of the season.

Duff can absolutely play on the right. I daren't hope this one is true but I'd love to see him at Anfield. A genuinely great player IMO

i'd be happy id we signed him but there are 2 things that concern me. 1 is his injury problems. he always seems to be out injured, a bit like harry i guess. the other is that he's another left winger. do we need another? right midfield is where we are weakest and he would be a square peg in a round hole. i have a feeling that he will go to tottenham though. they have probably already talked to him and agreed a contract if you believe this weeks papers.
