I see that Elisha Scott on YNWA says that Liverpool did approach Chelski about Duff, but the price they asked was too much. Liverpool was only prepared to pay 7 million for him?

With Newcastle now reporting they bought him for 5 million, One has to think that Chelski upped the price for us as they didn't want to sell him to us

Still, if Duff really wanted to come here, he could have stood his Ground, but I guess Newcastle would offer him much better wages
