Doesn't help when Lucas and Alonso are in deep concentration looking for Carragher/Reina to pass the ball to for 80 minutes of the game. :-(

I felt for Keane, got into great positions but we weren't brave enough to look for him. Took a hoof ball for him to contribute.
    One tit for another.

yes he did get a bit isolated as the game went on but I hope his confidence is restored, just doesnt need rafa to rest him next time out

Rafa might be unadventurous but he's not stupid. As has been proved, Keane is easily the best forward to lead a line after Torres. He should be starting the next game.

no idea why he was taken off for el zahr. if anything either lucas should have been subbed and gerrard moved back or position for position kuyt subbed.

really well taken goal by keane, hope he gets a run over xmas

I was really hoping Sammy Lee would have had his own way today, I could have seen him put on Babel and Ngog a lot sooner taking off Lucas and Riera. Unfortunately, his hands were tied. Keane would have benefitted immensely from those two creating spaces and Gerrard providing his lethal passes from midfield.

we should have gone 442 a lot sooner and kept robbie on until the end.

In defence of Rafa, Keane looked ****ed towards the end. Seemed very tired.

                      Because he was ****ing knackered.

If you'd been at the game, you'd have seen him off the ball - he was shattered and his legs were gone. The tv cameras dont pick this up because they're following the ball.

It's not about working on his fitness, he worked his arse off all game and the match was played at a quick tempo with a lot of intensity.

You just want to whinge and criticise, you're not happy unless you've had a pop at something or someone.

no. i felt keane had 90 minutes in him u felt he didn't. i accepted your observation and pointed out that after we took keane off we didn't have a striker on the pitch unless you considered kuyt one. i don't.

imo we made a mistake with that sub regardless of whether you view this as me whinging. i wasn't the only one who thought this. imo if we took keane off we should have put a striker on.

We put on Babel and N'gog, both of whom are more strikers than they are midfielders.
