i dont think rafa's rant yesterday will have any bearing on the league outcome this year at all. i dont see the result today combined with yesterdays rant making him look like keegan. keegan lost the plot i the heat of the moment. rafa took time to write down a well worded letter which he used to show how manipulative fergie is. i still think his rant was perfect and will have a positive effect.Originally posted by el matador View Postits not just one bad result though is it ?
Its not this result that has cost us the league but its rafa's rant yesterday with no result today. If he was going to say what he did we had to win to make him look like a sane person but our draw had the opposite effect of making him look like Keegan.
And i said that we dont have enough savvy in the side to pull ourselves above this and get the seige mentality that fergie and mourinho cultivate.
Now it will look like rafa and us bottled it.
As for being a real fan - why would i post nearly 800 times on a subject that i wasnt passionate about.
we have in stevie g a man who will not let us through this away. he will do what he always does....drags us by the scruff of the neck to keep us top. when torres starts playing full 90 mins AND arbeloa gets fit again AND insua gets back from international duty AND skrtel gets match fit AND alonso recovers from stitches AND rafa realises keane is a valuable player these things wil help our form.
fair do's i shouldn't question you being a fan but heat of the moment to come on this site and see fans throw in the towel in january when we are having our best season in a long long time got to me.
IMO it will still all come down to the head to head meetings with the big teams cause on current form chelsea and manure will continue to drop points.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

stoke defend we attack, simple im a rafa fan but whenever we have a chance to take advantage of a situation i always seem to be saying "what the fuk as he picked that team for"lucas and kuyt dont hurt teams and never will they lack vision and create nothing,i know its easy to pick your team when your a fan and don't take the flak or the pressure and also don't have the knowledge, but how many here would have far more enjoyed us dominating and having bad luck in a draw and throwing caution to the wind, sometimes its not all about stats and tactics and more about heart and passion and that's a factLast edited by joyno; 10-01-09, 09:28 PM.

Easy to say that when we're talking fantasy football. Keep telling yourself that mate if it makes you sleep easier.Originally posted by Ben Tover View PostNo, he would win it with this squad. In fact, he would sling half the crap in the squad. Out - Kuyt, Benayoun, Dossena, Pennant, Degen.
Personally I think he'd win **** all in the EPL without Abamovich's cash.

Why stop there, let's just get the old whiskey nose here and he'll win the league for us, right?

Its easy to say in retrospect that is was a poor team selection. I remember quite a few saying the same thing when they saw the team sheet for the newcastle game and we scored 5 that day. Selections aside the players were poor today - they never seemed to get into a passing rhythm and we got bullied physically.
Yes we have dropped points again and Rafa has got egg on his face but the title race is far from over as it is STILL in our own hands.
People need to keep things in perspective here instead of embarrassing themselves by whining like spoiled children.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
