I'm now starting to feel sorry for him. When the camera's on him warming up or on the bench he just looks like a lad looking out the window as his mates play football on the street but he's grounded for getting in trouble at school so he cant play too.
He must be scundered sitting on that bench when he knows he can do more damage that Kuyt, Benayoun etc. Still dont know why Rafa bought him if he's treating him like this. Leaves a bad taste.

Thought i'd read somewhere that Rafa had targeted Barry and Keane in the last window, but stressed to Coco that Barry was the prime objective. Coco came up trumps with Keane, then told Rafa we didnt have the funds for Barry aswell? May be wide of the mark on that, but i've seen it on a forum somewhere. So this might be Rafa publicly knocking Coco's nose out of joint? (wouldnt put it past him would you?)

Something's amiss - that's for sure. Why pay £20m for a striker and then not play him when it's clear that we need a striker to win a game? I worry that we might end up buying lampshades when we need tables or whatever it was Rafa said he needed at Valencia.

I've always been of the opinion that this was a crazy signing, particularly at the price, in spite of the fact that we desperately needed another striker. Keane is a second striker, and given that we tend to play 4-2-3-1 and Torres plays best up front on his own with someone supporting him from deep, a role Gerrard played so capably last season, it seemed crazy to bring Keane in and break up a ready made partnership in order to play him in his best position.

Unforrtunately his form and general attitude and antics seems to have borne that out.

Having said that, I do feel sorry for the lad in that he has been played in alien positions and been "rotated" when he has found form. I thought He should have started at Newcastle, even though we won 5-1., and he shpuld have played some part at Stoke. I'm amazed he didn't come on some stage. I think he would have put himself about a bit and would have given us some presence up front. Why buy a "Premiership-proven" player and then not play him in such a physical game?

The Keane situation has been an almighty cock up right from the beginning.

Exactly so why was he not on? it just doesn't add up.
He looked so frustrated on the bench, i dont think his attitude has been bad at all, in fact i think his attitude has been great considering.

Hardly made a big scene though, was probably pissed off with his own performances when he was getting subbed.
Keane's been a fan of the club all his life which surely makes it even more frustrating for him.

Just because the Sky cameras cut to the bench every time Keane's looking forlorn it doesn't mean that there's a big conspiracy afoot.

Saying that though if Gerrard reprises his role behind Torres I don't know where Robbie will fit in.

Well as far as his use of Keane and Torres is concerned, when you are top of the league and want to ensure that remains the case you play to win every game - sod rotation.
So yes.....he has been a prick.
