Several reports I have read state he didn't show up at the ground when he found out he didn't make the matchday squad. IMO the press are trying to stir the ****.Originally posted by Joe King View PostThis hasn't been written only in one paper, it was published in several which reduces the likelihood of the story lacking substance.
Paddy Power have made Everton favourites to sign him. Just thought you would want to know.Dare we believe

I thought you should know that the substance Paddy Power are basing this on is a very well respected Evertonian poster (I know?!?) who posted that Keane was joining them on loan for the rest of the season. He later conceded that this was in fact a joke, but not after some high profile people had cottoned on to it.............Originally posted by Joe King View PostThis hasn't been written only in one paper, it was published in several which reduces the likelihood of the story lacking substance.

So it is all bull ****.
Regarding Berba v Keane, the difference could be the type of manager Rafa and Alex are. Rafa is not one to praise a player, Whilst Fergie will talk a player up and hope he comes good.
Fergie has made Berba first choice, ahead of Rooney and Tevez and kept faith in him, massaging his ego for the future benefit of the club. Rafa does not manage like this, sometimes for the better, and smetimes, in this instance, for the worse. Imagine how high Keanes confidence would be if Rafa had turned round and told him he would start and finish every game as he was a vital part of the team.
I would guess he would have contributed far more than Berbatov has for United.Forwards.......

Lets not forget Keane is a Liverpool fan. Personally if I'd be signed by Liverpool and was seemingly getting ****ed around by the manager (defined as yanked off game after game and played out of position) and then replaced on the bench by a no mark I'd refuse to attend the game. I'd have the manager by the throat and what to punch his lights out because it'd mean so much to me. If I was at Watford or whoever I'd probably accept it in a better manner. The fact its the club you love makes it so hard to take. I feel for Robbie, it hasn't worked out and he's gutted. Who wouldn't be annoyed? those holier than tho sorts who thinks he should take it on the chin and lick the bosses boots need to get a grip.Originally posted by Joe King View PostHe didn't turn up to Anfield yesterday afternoon when he was told he was on the bench. Life's tough at the top, He hasn't set the world alight since he came here so regardless of his love for the club he should stfu and work harder on his game for the team he supposedly loves. Throwing all his toys out the pram because he doesn't agree with the managers decisions isn't the sign of a great professional, he should take a leaf out of Crouch's book and act with a bit of dacorumOriginally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostLets not forget Keane is a Liverpool fan. I don’t know; the arm flapping, the apparent frustration with his team mates, the weird way Babel ignored him after what was a wonderful assist during the PSV game, Lawrenson’s blab that Gerrard was suggesting he was on his way out. Something’s not been right for a while. However Keane seemed to be coming good just as Liverpool were coming good with 3 quality goals in the 2 games against Arsenal and Bolton. Just as he seemed to be hitting form Rafa drops him again and at a time when Torres was off injured. I hope the suggestion made on this thread that Keane’s an unwitting pawn in Rafa’s apparent stand off with Parry isn’t true but I’m beginning to suspect it might be. If it is the case then the back room politics are beginning to spill onto the pitch and that isn’t right. I blame the kidney stones.

played out of position? he's a second striker and has been played as one as far as i'm aware.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View PostLets not forget Keane is a Liverpool fan. the fact of the matter is that most games have passed him by. i feel for him too but don't get me wrong, sulking is not the way to solve the problem.
he should knuckle down and give his all to become a part of the team. which i do believe he will.
as for the berbatov debate.
both have 5 league goals this season and 8 and 4 assists by berbatov and keane respectively. not that much of a difference there.
