Steve McManaman believes Liverpool have an 'outstanding' chance of winning the league.
And the former Reds winger is keen to dismiss any suggestion that Steven Gerrard and co will start feeling the pressure as the season draws to a conclusion.

Macca, now a pundit for Setanta after 364 appearances for Liverpool, said: "Put it this way – I will be over the moon if Stevie and Carra have got their hands on that trophy in May and I honestly believe they have an outstanding chance of doing it.

"People go on about them being ready to collapse but I just don't see it. Over the last three months, they have looked incredibly strong and have played the best football out of the top three. All Chelsea seem to be doing is be chugging along.

"Prior to last weekend, Manchester United had been poor in a number of games and hadn't been scoring too many goals. Can you say the same about Liverpool? No. Never mind what happened against Stoke.

"They've got the best player in the country in Gerrard and the best centre-forward in the country in Fernando Torres. He has been missing and if he comes back firing on all cylinders, what's stopping them?

"Pressure? That's nonsense. There's no pressure for Stevie – he's played in two European Cup finals. Is there any pressure for the Spanish lads who played in the Euro 2008 final? The games they have got coming up are like getting out of bed in the morning."
I like him, and he seems to like us.

I can't think of any ex-reds that I really dislike, other than El-Hadj Diouf. If you're talking pundits then they've all annoyed me at some point or other by unfairly criticising the side - with the glorious exception of Thommo!

Diouf, although we all hated him when he was a red.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Souness has to be the ultimate hero to zero. Can't knock him as a player but we're still recovering from his 'management' and his love-in with a certain tabloid will never be forgiven.

He is also incredibly bitter about the Reds as a pundit and comes across as a Class A knob jockey.

The one that particularly gets me at the minute is Collymore. He stared out being quite a decent anchor on 606 but as time has gone on he has become more and more of a rent-a-gob****e commentator on the game.

Although Jamie Redknapp is bloody useless at his job I still quite like him, although it would be appreciated if someone could buy him some less tight trousers for work.

"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Also Collymore for me, seems he is very bitter that his career went down the tube, and somehow partly blames us for his personal problems!

To be fair I've heard Collymore say many times this season that he wants us to win the league.

Ahh, good old rent-a-dogger. As Tony Barrett said: 'His opinion is as consistent as his Liverpool form'

And I agree on the latter comment with the trousers.

Can I throw in Neil Ruddock?
