Is how i see it, he just want's Parry to do what he's, er.... good at, and Rafa can concentrate on all things football.

No matter what anyone says there is no chance the CEO/Board at United or Arsenal would of done that to 'Mr' Ferguson or Wenger. I have no problem with Rafa asking for assurances it won't happen again and expect him to get it.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Just want's to be able to do his job to the best of his ability...and with the best tools available to him, that's available to him & not as some seem to think by going out and bankrupting us spending what the club can't afford.

Back with a bang Rashid. IMO Rafa is doing what he believes is best for the future of the club and if it means, 1. changing the way the academy runs in order to produce players for the 1st team and 2. Getting rid of a CEO who thinks he can prioritise Rafa's transfer targets, then I am fully supportive of Rafa.

What's happened Rash? Have they booted you off 6CM?

Was just enjoying the tranquil moments till you came back...
They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

Actually no. I think he is an honourable man tbh. IMO he is doing what is best for the club. In regards to the transfer system that is in place at the club I can fully understand why Rafa is looking to take this responsibility away from Parry. Because of the existing structure we have missed out on a lot of players...off the top of my head Vidic, Walcott, Barry, Simao, Alves, Villa!!! These are all players Rafa identified as his targets but which Parry did not sanction. All these players were within the windows budget at the time allegedly but Parry did not think they were worth the asking price......Now is it in the clubs best interest to leave the transfers in Parry's hands or is Rafa just doing what is best for Rafa?

If Parry had any decency he would relinquish controls over transfers to Rafa and concentrate on marketing and sorting the ground out.
However Parry knows if he does that he'll be quickly dispensed of by the club because there becomes little use for him.

I think we should sell the club to Rafa for £20. Take down the posters of Bob and Bill and replace it with fake goatees.

Jesus Rashid, I see you've changed during your hiatus

From what I understand, Rafa isn't asking for control of the whole bloody club. What he does want is more control over the transfer process, something which he obviously feels Rick Parry is somewhat incompetent with. He wouldn't be the only one, for years fans have been moaning about why we take so long to sort out transfers, and why we seem to **** things up so many times. Surely a large portion of that blame has to lay at Parry's feet?

You're trying to make out Rafa is doing this purely from a selfish point of view, but I don't see how it particularly benefits him, other than from being more efficient at getting the players he wants in - which is surely of benefit to the club as much as it is him? If anything it would increase his already impressive work load.

I just get the impression you are using this as yet another stick to beat him with. But meh - we're all kind of used to this from you by now.

**** off Rashid, your starting with your bull**** lies again. Rafa said that he gets on fine with Parry but he just wants full control over the transfer policy. Nothing wrong with that, he is the manager after all. If you don't like his goatee then it just shows how petty you are.

Go wind people up somewhere else you idiot

You really are a bitterly twisted individual in your outlook on Rafa arent you?

I happen to believe that Rafa is a seriously honest guy, and the best thing to have happened to LFC since King Kenny left us in 1991.

Rafa embodies the Liverpool Way throughout his being. I may disagree with some of his decisions, I may even swear and curse at him when we drop points we should have won, but you can't show me a more honourable, intelligent, and hard working bloke at the top of ANY field, let alone football management.

When's your next sabbatical due? I can't wait.
Rafa Benitez gave us pride again. He gave us hopes and dreams. He made us feared across the Continent and took us closer to the Premier League Title than anyone since King Kenny. He became one of us and fought on our behalf. Rafa "got" LFC. For me he will forever be a legend. I'd have him back in a heartbeat. YNWA Rafa.

Of course we all do. That is very much obvious. But it only looks good on him if he gets the results required. And if he gets results then everyones happy.

Would it not be great to see hwo good a manager he is? Give him the control and see what pans out. If he ****s up he gets the sack, and he could have no complaints - he would simply not have been good enough.

If he wins trophies he can have all the adulation he likes for me.
                              Forwards.......
