Our managers get it thrown in their face every single season, every day, the title, how long, etc etc, when will you win it, how will you win it, why can't you win it, any trophies they win are swept under the carpet, almost worthless because everyone knows what Liverpool want most, a bit like Newcastle not winning trophies, look how the pressure effects them..the decision making etc.Originally posted by tomasjj View Post

no i dont think rafa is the right man for the job.
play the best players in their best positions, let the opposition worry about us and always try to win the game. I wouldnt extend his contract and i wouldnt give him the keys to the whole club either.
The only problem is that its ok saying we want rafa to go, however who on earth will replace him ?
my preference is guus hiddink but abramovich has tied him up and there's no way he's going to let him come to us. Who else stands out from the crowd ? If rafa goes, we dont have many options to replace him and we might be worse off without him and wishing we had him back.
Those hoping he will change his philisophy are wrong because he is too stubborn to admit that his ways are wrong and that he wont win the league with his defence first approach.

He is the right man for the job, the job being to keep us in the top 4 consistently. We aren't going to win the league anytime soon, if ever. We don't have the funds and Man Utd better than we are. Unless/until Utd get worse, maybe post SAF, we can only really aim to be up near the top. Sacking Rafa to chase a league title will probably backfire and leave us worse off.
