    Sunderland build up

Sunderland haven't played a game since the 21st of February, when they drew 0-0 at the Emirates.

2 draws and two victories in their last four games.

After the introduction of the premier league these clubs have met seven times at Anfield, four times it has ended in a draw and three times Liverpool has won, last year we won 3-0 after Crouch, Torres and Gerrard scored.

The last time Sunderland won at Anfield was in the 1983-84 season (0-1).

Earlier this season Liverpool won 1-0 at the Stadium of Light (Torres).

The Sunderland manager says there are doubts whether Cisse, Kenwyne Jones, Malbranque and Tainio can make the trip due to injuries, but he expects them to travel.

Mark Halsey will be the man to blame if we can't manage to get the three points. Alternatively Parry, the yanks, Rafa, Moores, (insert what pleases you the most here).

Personally I think someone is due a good hammering from us, why not the black cats? Need to win this one comfortably to gain some confidence ahead of the Real and scum games.

Without meaning to be negative its got draw written all over it. Like you say though we need to put it to them and give them a good whackin, get our confidence up.

We'll win this one quite convincingly.

Not that it matters all that much now.

cant see anything other than a 0-0 draw here. they'll park the bus and we'll struggle to break them down.

Yep the pressure is off now

Cisse has been saved for this game and at times they passed the ball around like Brazil at the Emirates (unbelievable as it sounds).

They shouldn't be underestimated but there's not a lot of pace in the side and there's nothing on their bench that they can make a Plan B from.

I don't think they will. They'll defend doggedly but they'll have a go at us when they can.

There will be no space for Cisse to exploit because we won't attack and as every other title chasing side does we'll play a 35 year old centre half to cope with the threat of Kenwyne Jones.

Sorry I'm getting a little cynical now.

Part of me will be disgusted if we win convincingly because it'll prove that the players perform when the pressure is off and we're battling for third.
At least if it's another boring home draw we can say it's down to them being ****e!

According to Rafa Gerrard is fit to play but Torres is out. So that means we won't win by more than three goals then.

                      Arbeloa is out too...

                      Reina

                      Darby Carra Skrtel Aurelio

                      Gerrard Alonso Mascherano Riera

                      Kuyt Ngog

Go on Rafa, give the kid a chance.
