    Man Utd Build Up Thread

So it was a fabulous win against Real but we have another big game at the weekend.

Has Babel done enough to get another game. Will Benayoun be fit? Are the likes of Torres and Arbeloa fit enough to play excellently two massive games in a week?

Guess we will not know until Saturday.

Here's hoping Inter make a game of it at the very least. The early kick off and extra days rest really does play in our favour. Not to say the free weekend we had.

We have to play with a good tempo and make that extra energy count. A slow boring game would play into Uniteds hands, though I would expect them to come out the blocks early doors. I really expect the avalanche of games to catch up on United and if they stay in Europe and we do get a result it is far from over.

Re. Babel I would say he deserves to start, but with Riera full of energy I would fully expect Rafa to start him. Not to mention that Babel is an excellent player to come of the bench in away games.
    Forwards.......

It will be an interesting one, we should go in confident and take the swagger from last night into the game. Babel played well, he needs to start on Sat in my opinion. If he doesn't his confidence may drop and perfomance will drop too, he should be told "go on lad, repeat that, bomb at em and you'll succeed"

Gerrard and Torres should be fine, no worries there. Again if Masch repeats the performance, he'll get a grip on any of their plays he's assigned to.

The Scum result tonight will be interesting. Lose, they may be deflated, drop their guard and we spank em. Alternatively, if they lose, they may really want to go for the jugular.

Its all in the psychology I think Rafa CAN come out on top in this war. We win, title race firmly on

I should add that I think we are the best team in Europe when it comes to playing the top teams and I really fancy us to get a result. As ever the first goal will be all important.

We only struggle when teams sit back and I can't see the mancs doing that on their own patch.

              Painful ones

Nobody deserves to be dropped after last night and it's not often you can say that.

make-or-break match as i see it. utd. are due a defeat and who better than us to achieve that.

I think we should start with the same team as yesterday, and with riera and (hopefully) benny back, we'll have more options on the bench, that know how to make a difference in these sort of games.

utd. will have to play a more attacking game, and as i see it, that's perfect for babel, torres and stevie to capitalise on counter-attacks. think rafa will go for a more cautous aproach, and not a full out attack as against real

Guess its up to us beat these cunts and show the rest of the league how its done, hopefully it'll be a shock to the system which will see them drop a few points.

Think Riera will be back in instead of Babel, the rest as you were.

Agreed - same starting XI should be used.

If Torres and Gerrard play like they did on Tuesday we have every chance of securing a famous win on Saturday. Utd looked more than vulnerable at times against the quick passing game of Inter and they conceded several clear chances.

Not really looking forward to this game, historically bad game for us.

You just know the ******* red nose is going to fire up his troops for this one.
                        We come not to play.
