I'm not lying when I say that I believed we could do it. Went out at half time to play a bit of garden cricket and as I sat down again in the same Liverpool top (washed periodically) and seat I had watched all of our games in I said to my mate that we were going to win it.

What a day to be an LFC fan that was.

The worse one for me is 1989... yes, that fine early summer Friday evening.... watching Liverpool about to be crowned champions V Arsenal.... with a few minutes to go I danced a jig of joy around the room, pointing at my brother (who hated Liverpool) and breaking into some random body popping routines... then Michael Thomas scored...

What happens after Rome take 2? Is that Istanbul suddenly consigned to the history books?

On the subject, when kicked out of the living room by my brothers during a United game as a nipper, I went up stairs and cheered on the scum through my tears.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

My original post was gonna highlight that the first and last victories are the most important, discounting the ones in between.

            No excuse though.

Arsenal '89, I am not ashamed to admit that it is the only game of football to ever make me cry. Before anyone asks I wasn't a little lad then either I was bloody 22 years old!

its all about balance, when things go well people go overboard, when things go bad people go overboard, its all about balance, if you can appreciate that progress is still being made you can be calm about things and enjoy watching our team play whatever the result

First home game of the 99 season (I think), we lost 1-0 to Watford. I had a great seat high up on the Annie Road end, ruined by a **** result against a very poor side. I turned to my mate after the final whistle and said that our new(ish) teenage midfielder will never make it because he was too small.

                      It was Steven Gerrard.....

had to leave the liverpool v charlton game 2007, with 5 mins to go as i had to catch my plane. got to airport with plenty of time to find out flight delayed 1hr 20 mins. missed kewells penalty to make it 2-2 in last min but most of all i missed the send off to robbie fowler as it was his last match. gutted

The funniest non-LFC mistake I've heard about is when George Best left the Nou Camp before Utd scored those jammy goals to win the CL. Priceless.
