    Ancelloti Back Reds

AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti claims Liverpool will stop Manchester United from retaining the Champions League trophy after insisting Rafa Benitez's side are the hardest team to play against in Europe.

Ancelotti has faced Liverpool in two Champions League finals and experienced failure and success. Milan lost the first in 2005 via a penalty shootout after being 3-0 up at half-time but won the European Cup with a 2-1 victory in Athens.

'Liverpool are the hardest team to play against in Europe,' said Ancelotti.
'Benitez is a great coach. He has a well organised defence and the perfect counter-attack. To play against them is always dangerous.

'Manchester United are stronger but they let you play. Liverpool don’t.'
Ancelotti is being coveted by Chelsea and Real Madrid but says he is still not interested in leaving the San Siro.

Ancelotti added: 'I have still not found a good reason to leave Milan. I feel good here and want to stay here for a long time.'

When asked about Chelsea, he added: 'Hiddink is the coach I regard most highly.'

I know it doesnt have an impact on our chances of winning the league but i really would rather people didnt say anything until we've won it

I see what you saying but he's just voicing his opinion. Your bound to get this being the 'team to beat' in Europe.... It doesnt change anything though. Just good to see others recognition now and again.... Plus it does the red nose cunts ed in. :bird:

Ancelotti will know Milan were lucky in 2007 as we wiped the floor with them in that game and had we placed big pete i am sure we would have won.

i disagree its quality that our team is being talked about as potential CL winners and the hardest team to play in Europe.....we have an aura in europe similar to waht the mancs have in the premier league.

It's nice to get the praise, but it doesn't matter either way. The bookies have our chances at winning the CL third from bottom after Porto and Villarreal, so opinion is definitely split.

I personally think we're the best team left in the Champions League, and difficult route to the final or not, I think we can win it.

i think the bookies odds reflect the fact we have to beat chelsea and then probably barca to get to the final. whereas other teams look to have a higher certainty to get to the final than we do.

The sweetest thing in Istanbul was singing 'champion's league WE'RE having a laugh' after having the 'you're having a laugh' version sung at us all season by a load of no-mark teams from the premiership.

I'd prefer to wait until we win something before getting gobby too. It's nice when outsiders praise us but should be treated identically to when outsiders taking a swipe.
