AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti claims Liverpool will stop Manchester United from retaining the Champions League trophy after insisting Rafa Benitez's side are the hardest team to play against in Europe.
Ancelotti has faced Liverpool in two Champions League finals and experienced failure and success. Milan lost the first in 2005 via a penalty shootout after being 3-0 up at half-time but won the European Cup with a 2-1 victory in Athens.
'Liverpool are the hardest team to play against in Europe,' said Ancelotti.
'Benitez is a great coach. He has a well organised defence and the perfect counter-attack. To play against them is always dangerous.
'Manchester United are stronger but they let you play. Liverpool don’t.'
Ancelotti is being coveted by Chelsea and Real Madrid but says he is still not interested in leaving the San Siro.
Ancelotti added: 'I have still not found a good reason to leave Milan. I feel good here and want to stay here for a long time.'
When asked about Chelsea, he added: 'Hiddink is the coach I regard most highly.'
