Agger IS ****ing laid back to be fair. If I was one of our current players, I would probably be Agger

Skrtel is a bigger asset than Agger. Despite all the ability Agger has when it comes to sticking a leg or a head in he has a huge failing. I dread watching him in an aerial duel. Defenders should not jump with their eyes closed in the hope of putting the forward off. Agger is incapable of attacking a ball and commanding a game. If he was able we would have beaten West Ham in December. Agger has a lot of positives to his game but give me a no nonsense Skrtel any day. He is the natural successor to our Carra.

I agree. He has limitations but I think he does the basics well. Ideally he and Agger should make a perfect partnership, just not sure it'll be allowed to blossom whilst Carra is still performing
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Well he's fit, for one thing. In the years Agger has been here he has only been fit for 20% of the time. It really pisses me off how, in order to praise Agger a lot of people resort to slagging off Skrtel. We've second in the league with only a couple of points between us and first place and we did this without Agger. Are we to believe it is in spite of Skrtel?

No doubt in my mind Agger is the better player, and also has much more improvement to be made. If he stays I think he will prove this next year.

Would think Sktrel will be happy to play second fiddle, although it seems Agger won't.

I find it hard to see what you're basing your view on. I think it's clear Agger is a better footballer but it seems to me Skrtel is the better defender of the two.

Of course Agger may be able to become the better all-round player in time but he isn't as strong as Skrtel at the moment.

This isn't a criticism of Agger who I think is an excellent player overall - it's simply a call to appreciate Skrtel's qualities.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

They're both the future. Skrtel is by far a better defender and has more presence on the pitch. Had he not got injured we'd have beaten Chelsea last year and gone to Moscow. Agger will complement Skrtel over the next couple of years if he can get fit and stay fit. No need to be bashing Martin, absolutely no need at all.

I've never been convinced about Skrtel, I've always said this. I see more potential in Agger, but then none of us know what goes on at Melwood.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
