Can you really see this working?

    Regarding the anniversary of Hillsborough:

"The FA is planning to host representatives of the victim's families at Wembley on 18 April, when Chelsea play Arsenal in the first FA Cup semi-final. The FA chairman, Lord Triesman, will present relatives of the victims with flowers before the game. There will also be one minute of applause as a mark of respect."

Can anyone see those vile Chelsea fans showing any kind of respect?

Applause? What the heck? Its a time of mourning. The applause is probably done to mask the Renties.

Well yeah, the thought of trying to keep those ****s silent and respectful, is laughable.

Seen this on a chelsea forum, one of them suggesting using the minute to sing the mancs & bitters favourite song. Classy bunch of cunts.

It seems a bit of an empty gesture really, I'm sure it would be respected by the majority but it's open to abuse.

        I don't think a minute's applause is remotely appropriate.

This could turn out to be a huge embarrassment for the FA, however I am still pinning some faith in the decency of the majority of both Chelsea and Manchester Utd fans to ensure it is well respected.

I think it will be done well and I have to believe bots sets of fans will be ok with it.

I agree, infact I find it ****ing sickening. What are they meant to be applauding exactly? It cant be a celebration of life because loads of those that died were so young they barely had a life. Its disgusting and is all done because some scumbags wont be able to keep silent for 60 seconds.

I wonder how many of the families will accept the invitation.

It's ****ing sickening. The sad thing is (unlike here) it seems to be the majority perpetuating their twisted views and the odd poster in disbelief about how hateful and moronic they are.

That's the problem, it's not a minority that are causing the problem, the morons actually represent the majority viewpoint.

I take it you've seen the forum and thread i'm on about.

If it is, you'll know what picture (posted on there as a link) will have caused me the most discomfort and difficulty. I wanted to draw people's attentions to it but i dont really know if it'd be appropriate and also dont think there's anything that would be achieved by it. Nobody on here needs to see a picture to know the horrors, it's more those on the outside who seems to make such a disaster so trivial in the way they comment on it. They're the ones who need to see that image.

It would exactly the same if they did a rememberance of the Munich disaster or for Phillip Carter/Matthew Harding or for the Leeds fans that got killed in Turkey at one of our games, you'll always get the idiot element jeering and singing. Its not right or nice but it would be very difficult to combat

It's more than a small minority with them.
