    Agree with this.

Im a big Agger fan and I have said on a few threads That I would be gutted if we let him go , Skrtyl is a good defender who always gives 110% but with Agger not only does he do a very good job at the back he also scores goals,

The Chelsea game on tuesday when we was rightly given a penalty the ball dropped to Skrtyl 3 yards out and he blazed it over,Agger would never have missed that ,And agger's passing ability is as good as Alonso's on times he must be a starter in most if not all our remaining games IMO

Aye, tend to favour Danny above Martin- but I can see why Rafa will limit his starts when we have a chance in the league. Less risky.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Agger has the potential to be a great player, although the one problem with his is that he has always had injury issues in his time at Anfield, I know they were mostly big ones rather than lots of niggles but still, that's always a concern when dealing with a young player who, in the ideal world, should not be at his peak for some years yet. Personally with this in mind I can understand why Rafa has stuck with Skrtel since Agger's return, as long as he is able to persuade Agger that he has a big enough future at the club to stick around for.

Really, Skrtel and Agger are at the opposite ends of the centre-back spectrum, and one would think should complement each other very well in the years to come. Skrtel has had an excellent season overall but seems to be falling off a bit now, he also though is very young and relatively inexperienced for his position, and I think there'll be a lot more to come from him in the future too. Culture is all very well and good in a defender, but there's always a call for a "no nonsense" approach at the back too, when executed well of course.

Both have the potential to become great players in their own way. I don't understand the discussion in the first place as they are different players with different attributes, so making it moot. A bit like comparing chalk and cheese.

When Agger was at his best he was better than Skrtel.

Either way, if Agger stops crying he will force his way into the team. Just needs to knuckle down, stay injury free and keep his bloody trap shut. Same goes for Ryan Babel actually and a few others.

It is quite clear Rafa does not give the arm round the shoulder, play well and he'll still point out the negative aspects of your game. I guess that's fine when you're in the team because you know he rates you if you're playing.

But when you're on the bench and he's giving out the criticism I wouldguess it's hard to tell if he fancies you as a player. That could be why Agger was moaning on about what Rafa said in private matters more than what he says in the press.

If Agger, Babel or whoever else can't handle it than I'd sooner they packed their bags, no matter how good the player. Rafa aint gonna change so get used to fighting or **** off.
