if i knew who these guys were
i'd put some money towards another ticket for them.

would be a nice thing to do,to show that we are all 1.

    what goes around comes around
hope the scumbag who did that
    gets what's due to him

Revenge Poetry - could be a whole new genre.
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I'd give a few quid too.

Stories like that really upset me because not only would they have been conned out of money for the tickets, it would have cost them for the trip, time off work and they never got to see possibly a once in a lifetime game that they would have saved ages for.

      Scum who did this.

Not only that they'd be reminded of it every time they watch the lads play. Good way to sour someone's love of the club.

That is ****e. But if I was of to Norway to watch a game I would make sure I bought tickets from the club to collect at the ticket office, or have them delivered, before orgainsing a trip to Norway.

Especially if it was a trip I had to work hard at saving the cash for.

The conmen and scam artists really **** me off, but the people daft enough to fall for them can also wind me up. Money does not grow on tress and should be treated with respect. If you don't use your head when spending your money you can guarantee someone will use theirs to get it off you.
          Forwards.......

That's terrible. Without knowing the details they probably could have done more to avoid that happening, but especially coming from abroad for a game you can see how it could perhaps happen.

Shame nobody would be able to track that down/verify the story or the individuals or I'd like to think real fans / the club would do something to help them, tickets to another game or whatever.

That's true, but there's a lot of shady operators out there and especially coming from abroad some people might not be that aware of how tickets or whatever are dolled out. Yeah you should try to find out, but still, lots of people get ripped off by ticket-resellers and dodgy travel agents, sometimes these things are very clever. I bet there's tons of scams specifically aimed at foreign fans traveling to see Premiership clubs because of the sort of money involved.

Really crap thing to happen regardless.
