If it is some sort of planned attempt to demonise Rafa it's clearly not working:

      Ekpen Omonbude (Arsenal fan) says...
Is Big Sam being serious? Should we also demand an explanation for Drogba's gesture after Chelsea's fourth (or was it fifth? So many goals in that tie!) goal against liverpool? If a manager chooses to run the entire length from the dug-out to the corner flag, or immediately pull out a white board with the inscription "am I buvverred?", is that really the main priority of the manager whose team just conceded the goal? Or have I missed something here?

      Aidan Hennessy (Chelsea fan) says...
Grow up Sam.. you should be more worried about your own team.. so Rafa crossed his hands, your tactical display at Anfield was shocking and you were never in the game.. so what, you were missing a few players, Liverpool have missed Gerrard + Torres, United Ferdinand + Ronaldo, Arsenal Fabregas and Adebayor.. i could go on, you still had 11 going out on the pitch and the leadershio you game them was disrespectful and made them get humiliated by a Liverpool team that never got out of second gear... GROW UP or you're GOING DOWN!!!

      Loz Jones (Chelsea fan) says...
Was Allardyce really ever in the frame to become England manager? "The game is hard enough as it is without a fellow manager trying to do, what seemed to be, an undermining gesture." If anyone has said anything as petulantly pathetic as this all season I've yet to read it.

      Craig Joyce (Everton fan) says...
Get over yourself Mr Allardyce. Considering Liverpool went on to win the game 4-0 I think Benitez was well within his rights to an opinion on whether the game was over or not! This is the same Allardyce who slated Tim Cahill before Everton played Blackburn in an attempt to get the referee on side - which worked. He's an idiot.

All this ****ing **** about lack of repect from a "man" who refused to be interviewed after matches(same with his new bestest mate "The purple nosed prick").
Rafa ALWAYS gives an interview no matter what the result. Fat Slag has always been a classless cunt, even when he was up here at Blackpool FC.

There have been a lot of great points made on this thread in regard to both Fat Sam and Slur Alex, it's just a shame no journalists have the bulls to pull them up and make these points to their face.

They're in a difficult position though mate as it's journalistic suicide in a way to anger whisky nose. If they don't toe his line he won't talk to them which obviously affects their employability as what paper would want a football journo who couldn't talk to man utd's manager?

He knows what he's doing, he's very manipulative but unfortunately for the cunt, time waits for no man and he's coming to the end of his reign. To his utter despair he sees a man who can take over where he's leaving off, who is capable of making his club the dominant force in this country for the next 20 years. That man is Rafael Benitez, he's Liverpool's manager and Ferguson is scared to death.

I think there is a feeling amongst journalists like Slaparsed face James ****ing I love Fergie Cooper and Two ****ing phones cunt Andy Burton, that they would miss out on scoops and insiders if they dare to question the hypocritical behaviours of these managers. I'm sure I heard Brian Reade was banned from Old Trafford's media room for constantly berating Ginsoak.

I'm sure Rafa will respond and I really hope he puts them in their place. I think he'll be amused and surprised at what the misguided pair of idiots have had to say. They should both be extremely embarrassed.

Yeah I know mate It would just be nice if someone did do it.

As for the second paragraph -

the same rafa that shouts to his players to track back in the '89 minute, when we're leading three or so nil, is supposed to be thinking the game is over after 60 or so minutes and with us leading "only" 2:0....don't think so, what that gesture meant i don't know, but most definately it wasn't what the fat **** is saying.

I can actually see him saying something like that. Big grin on his face.

"I was surprised because you know, Mr Ferguson was preparing for an FA Cup semi-final so clearly, he would be focused on this game. But he likes to talk too much."

                      Something along those lines.

Indeed. A very classy response unlike the rattled drunken geriatric. Am I right in thinking, he hasn't been this rattled since Kenny was at the club?

Hahaha nice one. He should so say that. Total pwnage.

Not to mention the fact that Fatty and Alchy are totally barking up the wrong tree. This is hilarious.

This seems like one of the more embarrasing interviews by a manager in a while - even if we assume Rafa was deliberately taking the piss how does this actually make Sam's job any harder? and also why on earth should Rafa go back to his room to have a meeting he hadn't arranged with a man who obviously doesn't like him? Also why the **** bring it up now?

I think Fergie is being quite clever. No one (other than Liverpool fans) will remember his dig but it helps gain publicity for Fat Sams besmirching of Rafa. So much of the press seem to dislike Rafa and be under Fergie's spell that I think it could well alter the rather nice press we have been getting of late. Not that I think the press really affects much.
