Not as far as I know and I very much doubt we will. I think you may have misinterpreted my (admittedly ambiguous) phraseology.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostHave we?
Of course in an ideal world we wouldn't need to respond but it's not an ideal world. I don't think it's vital but these things influence the atmosphere games are played in and so I think they can have an effect, not least on referees..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

He knows what he's doing, he's very manipulative but unfortunately for the cunt, time waits for no man and he's coming to the end of his reign. To his utter despair he sees a man who can take over where he's leaving off, who is capable of making his club the dominant force in this country for the next 20 years. That man is Rafael Benitez, he's Liverpool's manager and Ferguson is scared to death.
Exactly. Rafa will be sleeping like a baby tonight.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

I think Rafa was actually referring to Allardyce’s managing career being done rather than the match.

Marcotti said this was said today in order to gain maximum exposure rather than mentioning it in the midweek press conference before the Porto game. He said its a calculated attack and wouldn't be surprised if the pair actually talked to each other before attacking Benitez. Benitez has also done the right thing but laughing off the comments from Ferguson and Allardyce (5 Live understands Benitez has laughed off comments)
David Pleat also in the studio said there has been fair more disrespectful things done to opposing managers before. It was a fair gesture as Benitez rarely lets his emotions out and it wasn't as if he goaded the Blackburn manager by going into his part of the technical area and doing various gestures.
Matt Jackson also said that Mourinho running down the touchline could be interpreted as even more disrespectful to Manchester United yet Ferguson didn't bat an eyelid.
Looks like Ferguson's attack has fell on deaf ears.
