I think that attack showed Rafa is as happy to ditch personal relationships in order to win as "Mr Ferguson" is. And really that's what you want. They aren't paid to be friends. Still, there's a need to keep things withn the bounds of decency. Ferguson's behaviour over the years (towards lots of people, not just LFC) has often strayed into the uncivilised.

I simply meant he wasn't as personal about Rafa as he has been since Rafa's response. I'd forgotten the details though and you're right - he'd certainly started badmouthing the team before then which is, as we all know, as backhanded compliment.

Your 100% right there. Its a compliment if Fergie has a go at you (i.e. Dalglish, Wenger, Jose & Rafa) as that means he considers you a threat.
