Is it not rather closer to 50/50? I don't recall Ferguson being anywhere near as vituperative before Rafa's "facts" attack.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostYep, they were pals. Like Rafa said, it is strange, no? He's suddenly turned on him since we became a threat.
I think that attack showed Rafa is as happy to ditch personal relationships in order to win as "Mr Ferguson" is. And really that's what you want. They aren't paid to be friends. Still, there's a need to keep things withn the bounds of decency. Ferguson's behaviour over the years (towards lots of people, not just LFC) has often strayed into the uncivilised..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Ferguson on 3 occassion's when we were top of the league either questioned our team's bottle or dismissed us as a challenger. The first 2 times Rafa warned Mr Ferguson to stop talking about us. The third time was it as far as Rafa was concerned and out came the piece of A4.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostIs it not rather closer to 50/50? Rafa has always known that if we are to challenge them properly he will have to take on Mr Ferguson. Personally I think Rafa is pissed off he has had to wait this long because he relishes it.
Rafa is the true master of the mind games, look at Fat Sam who last week announced himself that he has never been defeated in mind games (noone's been bothered to enter them with him, mind) and he was swiftly brushed aside with a hand signal.
PS Neil, I'm loving Harvest and On the Beach
Still waiting for Unplugged.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

I simply meant he wasn't as personal about Rafa as he has been since Rafa's response. I'd forgotten the details though and you're right - he'd certainly started badmouthing the team before then which is, as we all know, as backhanded compliment..

Your 100% right there. Its a compliment if Fergie has a go at you (i.e. Dalglish, Wenger, Jose & Rafa) as that means he considers you a threat.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostYep, they were pals. Like Rafa said, it is strange, no? He's suddenly turned on him since we became a threat.
