Are we better than Man Utd?

Just curious to see the feeling on here. Obviously we're all gonna be biased, to one degree or another, but without the red tinted specs where possible, do you think we actually ARE better than them now?

Not 'yes we are in great form', forget form and blips, just generally, all things being equal etc etc, who's better?

I think we are roughly equal really.

I think we're close and better in some areas.

We have a better keeper, a better midfielder and a better striker and I better team ethic and hunger. However we dont have the experience or (dare I say it) a match winner quite like Ronaldo.

We're pretty much on a par. Which is a massive improvement.

They are 1 point ahead with a game in hand so over the season thus far they have been slightly better. We have both won games late on and both teams have had injuries to key players as well. We have certainly played better than them since early-mid march but equally they were better than us during January and February.

I still think the area we need to strengthen compared to them is greater depth in our squad in particular in our attacking positions.

And you dont HAVE to just look at the table and say "well they're ahead, so they're better". Obviously if that's your view then no worries at all, but if you decide not to look at it in such an obvious manner, that's cool too.

Maybe people could just put either 'yes', 'no' or 'equal'.

I'm mainly interested in people's final answer as it were, rather than the reasoning.

I know you have to compare it - but i'm saying do that in your head and just post the answer to the question.

And it's not about who'll win the league this season or next - it's just about who people think is better, overall.

I reckon they just have the edge. Just. Their abilty to spawn wins will do it for them, however the tide has turned and we're fully 100% back for the first time since 1991, forget the 1997 season, we weren't as strong as me are now, and the team of 2002 didn't have the ability that the team shows now.

In footballing terms, we have been the better team so far this season.

I think we have outplayed our opponents more completely and on more occasions than they have theirs. I believe that the points difference at the moment is largely down to combination of their own belief in themselves and fortune.
